< . <br />Council Minutes 1-2-68 _3_ <br />Ordinance No. 68-4 was introduced by Mr. Limpert. An Ordmnance amending <br />North Olmsted Codified Ordinance, Title One, Chapter 1301, Section 1301.05 <br />entitled "Amendments to Regional Dwelling House Code" by adding Paragraph (d) <br />to Section 1593.53 entitled "Water-Distrebutsng Pipe, Tubing, and Eittings" <br />of the Regional Dwelling House Code, and declaring an emergency. Mr. Lim- <br />pert moved for suspension of the rule requiring three separate readings, <br />seconded by Mr. Caster. Affirmative vote was Caster, Eian, Hodgins, Limpert, <br />Miller, Prokasy, West. Mr. Limpert then moved for adoption of the ordinance, <br />seconded by Mr. Caster. Affirmative vote was Caster, Eian, Hodgins, Limpert, <br />Miller, Prokasy, West. <br />Under old business, Mr. 0'Neill asked the Mayor about the North Olmsted Music <br />Festival. The Mayor reported that plans are moving along well, with a few <br />obstructions to overcome, mostly in the way of dollars and cents, but they <br />too are coming in. <br />Mrs. Hodgins said she has contacted residents along Lorain Road regarding <br />traffic light between Columbia and Clague Roads, and they will welcome any <br />break along this busy section. <br />Mr. Eian commented on the fact that Safety, Health & Welfare Committee is <br />working on Dr. Getlin's request and recommendation regarding methods of com- <br />bating air pollution. He inquired about status of lights on Evergreen. <br />Safety-Service Director said the Illuminating Co. is beginning to catch up <br />on work piled up because of recent strike; order for lights has been approved. <br />Under new business, Dewey Limpert requested permission to entertain motion <br />nominating Mrs. Virginia Hodgins as President Pro Tem for corning year. This <br />motion was seconded by Mr. Caster and unanimous ballot was cast by Caster, <br />Eian, Limpert, Miller, Prokasy and West. <br />A question and answer session followed; questions by Councilmen - answers by <br />Finance Director Gerlach on various technicalities of the North Olmsted Income <br />Tax. <br />Mr. Al Loomis, 27473 Mill Rd., questioned Council vn why his water assessment <br />was more than his sewer assessment and was given an explanation. <br />Mr. West reminded Council that at our next meeting, if everything goes ac- <br />cording to plans, he will present the 1968 budget in a"flip chart" form, <br />explaining it in detail. <br />Mr. Limpert moved to adjourn meeting, seconded by Mr. Eian.
