<br />Mr. West requested legislation to authorize the Safety-Service Director
<br />to adve-tise for bids fo; a Hydraulic High Pressure Sewer Cleaner. Also,
<br />legislation for increasing police and firemen's salary schedule:
<br />lst year -$6,60G; 'Lnd year -$7,100; 3rd year -$8,050. This will
<br />be a 7`/o across the board salary increase, effective January 1, 1968,
<br />including the chiet's salary which is to be $10,700. Also legislation
<br />to increase police force by three patrolrnen. And legislation authoriz-
<br />ing Safety Service Director to advertise for bids for a sidewalk snow
<br />plow; and legislation authorizing Mayor to negotiate for purchase of
<br />Parcel 231-32-5.
<br />Mr. West asked that the Finance Committee meet directly after the Trans-
<br />portation Committee meeting on December 7th. Mr. Eian requested a meet-
<br />ing of Safety, Health & Welfare on December 13th et 8:00 p.m. He would
<br />like to have Dr. Walters, Safety-Service Director Limpert and City Engin-
<br />eer Dutton attend this meeting.
<br />Mr. 0'Neill reminded Council of the Inauguration Cereinonies at 7:30 p.m.,
<br />December 17th, in the Community Cabin.
