Council Minutes Nov.21, 1967 -2- <br />Municipal pevelppment Committee has met and discqssed th@ Grading <br />Ordinance as recommended by Mr. Outton, City Engineer, and finally <br />resolvE:d that this wautd be a good thing if it wa5n't overworked. <br />Rt was agreed to reduce the fee to $50.00. This will enable en- <br />gineering to Fave control in ascertaining that work has been done. <br />They recommend .he ra*e for the field crew be $18.50 an hour and <br />$5.00 an hour for inspectors (Section 12 of ordinance). This or- <br />dinance is now ready to be amended and put in proper form for pas- <br />sage. <br />The Municipal Development CoRimittee met with the developer of Sandy <br />Ridge No. 3, at a Planning Committee Meeting of October lOt?•,, BecaGSe <br />ot the possibility of the con+..inuation c,; Route 17 into this Sub- <br />Uivision, Committee is recommending accepcing A and 6, with Lqt S <br />rr5erved for three years. The Cierk is to notify Planning Commission <br />of this decision. <br />ThiS Committee has a coinmunication from the Mayor recommending purchase <br />of a piece of land in cne area of Root Road and our land fill. Mr. <br />Mangani said this is satisfactory to his Committee and that he was turning <br />it over to the Finance Committee. <br />Mr. Eian, Chairman of Safety, Heakth ?11' Welfare Committee, spoke of this <br />Comniittee's meeting with Dr. Walters of John Carroll University. <br />Mr, John W. Williams, 3360 Woodview Drive, North Olmsted, representing <br />residents of Woodview Drive, made a formal request and presented a pe- <br />tition with 22 signatures, to have Council take action on dedicating <br />their street as soon as possible. Mr. Dutton, Chief Engineer, reviewed <br />problem, sayiny there are drainage problems still unsolved on street, <br />which must be corrected before dedication. President 0'Neill asked how <br />much work has to be accomplished before street can be dedicated and if <br />Mr. Dutton has a list of necessary steps to be taken. If contacted next <br />Monday or Tuesday, Mr. Dutton will be glad to furnish residents with list, <br />if they wish it. Mr. Caster asked residents from Woqdview prive attend- <br />ing meeting whether or not they feel they are lacking services from City, <br />Mr. J. Monck, 23433 Woodview Dr., added hi°s views on the lack of city <br />police protection and buses, etc. in this section. A rather ?engthy <br />discussion followed on lack of police protection on Woodview and the <br />problems it presented. <br />Reso.lit+on No. 67-226 was introduced by Mr. West and put on ?ts first <br />a' reading. A Resolution declaring the intentior, of Cc?unc's? to appropriate <br />land for an additeon to Fire Station No. l. <br />Ordiraance No. 67-250 was introduced by Mro Mangan8 r An Ordenance authoriz- <br />ing the Mayor to release to the Blossom Land Corpoe-atioea a reght-of-way no <br />lon er ne essary to the City of North Olmsted and declar6ng an emergencyo <br />Mr.oved for suspensson of the rule requiring three readings, sec- <br />? onded by Mr. Caster.
