Page 4- May 3, 1967 <br />Resolution No. 66-13,2 was introduced by Mr. Mangani. A Resolution request- <br />ing the Highway Department of the State of Ohio to resurface Columbia Road <br />(State Route 252) south of Lorain Road to the Olmsted Township Line, with <br />the usual city participation, and declaring an emergency. Mr. Mangani moved <br />for suspension of the rule requiring three separate readings, seconded by <br />Mr. Eian. Affirmative vote was Eian, Foltz, Hodgins, Limpert, Mangani. <br />Mr. Mangani then moved for adoption, seconded by Mr. Eian. Affirmative <br />vote was Eian, Foltz, Hodgins, Limpert, Mangani. <br />Resolution No. 67-133 was introduced by Mr. Mangani. A Resolution declar- <br />ing it necessary to improve Southern Avenue, Decker Road and Midvale <br />Avenue in the City of North Olmsted, Ohio, by installing sewer and water <br />curb connections, grading, draining, curbing, paving and constructing <br />sidewalks, and declaring an emergency. It was placed on first reading. <br />Mr. Mangani referred to a requested made at the last meeting for the pre- <br />paration of legislation approving the Country Glub Apartments for record <br />purposes only. This action was taken some time ago. What is needed now <br />is approval of the amendments to the plat as approved by the Planning <br />Commission. Mr. Mangani moved that Council approve the amended plat of <br />Country Club Apartments. Attention was called to a letter from the Fire <br />Chief pointing out that the plat plan did not show the location of gas <br />wells on the property, as required by ordinance. Mr. Mangani then with- <br />drew his motion, and the matter was referred to the Engineer, <br />Mrs. Hodgins asked about restricting truck parking on residential streets, <br />as discussed a year or more ago. The Law Director was asked to discuss <br />this problem with the Legislative Committee. <br />Mrs. Hodgins requested that a resolution be drawn authorizing the County <br />to resurface Clague Road, particularly north from Lorain. <br />Mrs. Hodgins requested that consideration be given to the purchase of a <br />fourth packer truck. It was referred to the Finance Committee. <br />Mrs. Hodgins requested that an ordinance be drawn providing for a vendor's <br />license for the Safety-Service Director to sell plastic garbage bags througfi <br />the Service Department. <br />Mr. Limpert asked that legislation be drawn setting up the new fare rates <br />for the bus line. <br />Mr. Limpert asked the Legislative Committee to study legislation creating <br />an income tax department, creating positions and wages. He also requested <br />the Finance Committee to discuss'appropriating money for the tax office. <br />He further requested that legislation be drawn authorizing the City to <br />enter into a contract with the City of Cleveland for cdlection of the tax. <br />
