Public parti- <br />cipatian at the hearing was gaadm Z'here were many_ suggesicions and comments from <br />the audience, and on a show oi hands, roughiy two to one at the hearing were in <br />favor 6t acity income tax as lang as C1Leveland aiready has such a tax, so that <br />some of the money being paid to Cleveland by our residents would ccme back to be <br />used by North Olmsted. <br />A r,resentaLion has been drawn ?xp for the 1967 budget and will be ready for the <br />? next cauncil meeting an February 21st. He asked that representatives from the news- <br />papers help publicize the budget review. <br />Mr. TJest reported that the Finance Committee requested the Law Direetor to draw up <br />a ar°.Iiminary income tax ordinance, which wilY be reviewed by the Finance Committee <br />at thei-r meeting on Tuesday, February 14th at 8:00 P.M. It is hoped that the <br />ordinance will be readv for first reading ait the F'ebruary 21st Cauncil meeting. <br />The Clerk read a petition recelved from property owners on Carla Lane with ref;ard <br />ta expansion of the parking lot and creaition of a new entranee driveway at the <br />Clague Road Playground. Mr. Mangan:i, Chairman of the Public Parks, Property and <br />Recreatian Committee, set Manday, F'ebruary 13th at 8-00 P.M. for a meeting on the <br />. petitian, and asked that the prroperty owners and theiz attorney be notified, as <br />we11 as interested Citv officia3.s. <br />A letter from the Building Commissisner with regard to condemnation and removal of <br />a barn.at 23232 Lorain Road.was read. The matter, was referred to the Legislative <br />Committee. <br />A Yetter from the Mayor vetoing Ordinance Nam 66-24 was read by the Clerk. <br />Ordinance N6. 67-6 was-given its third reaciing.
