<br /> <br />MINUTES OF MEETING OF. THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />December 20, 1966 <br />8:10 P.M. <br />Pr-esent: Mayor Raiph E. Christman; President of Council Francis J. OiNeill; <br />Counciimen Carroll Eian, Jack Foltz, Virginia Hodgins, Dewey Limpert, Alex <br />Manqani, John West. <br />Also present; J. Bruce Kitchen, Law Director; W. L. Gerlach, Finance <br />Director; Safety-Service Director Del Limpert; Margaret West, Clerk. <br />Absent: Councilman Henry Caster. <br />M'fnutes of the meeting of December 6, 1966 were approved as written. <br />Mayor• Chrisfiman announced that a survey had been started to ge-h inf6rmat1on <br />on the feasibility of an income tax. As soon as the survey is completed, <br />the information w111 be tabufated. <br />The Mayor advised that Springvale Golf Course has asked that a part of <br />Canterbury Road which runs through the No. 2 hole be vacated. The <br />question was referred to the Design and Platting Committee for study. <br />i? The Safety-Service Director requested authorization to spend $300 for the <br />Bus Dri'ver's award dinner in February; an amendment to Ordinance No. 64-95 <br />requirinq the developer to reimburse the City for an inspector's time if <br />the work 1s not ready for inspection when they are called; a review of the <br />Traffic Control Map; and a review of the requirements for underground <br />uti!ity instailation, <br />Law Director Kitchen announced receipt of a notice from the Department of <br />Liquor Control advisinq that Council's objection to the application of <br />Engoglia and Nardi fior (iquor permits had been overruled and the permits <br />qranted. <br />Mrs. Hodgins, Chairman of the Llquor Control Committee, reported they met <br />and considered applications for D-I and D-2 permits at 30882 Lorain Road, <br />which they approve, and for D-I and D-2 permits for the Lor Lum Corporation <br />Sublots !& 2, S. H. Kleinman Co. Westwood Subdivision, which property is <br />two lots directly east of Arby's on Loraln. The Committee will object to <br />the iatter application. <br />Mrs. Hodgins also called Council's attention to the AAA Pedestrian Safety <br />report, and North OVmsted's record of four years without a single pedestrian <br />fataRity. <br />Mr< Mangani reported on the meeting of the Municipal Development Committee <br />wifih three residents of Louis Drive with regard to the sanitary sewer con- <br />nection and assessment. Ifi was agreed to cut their assessment in half
