Council Minutes May 19, 1970 Page -6- <br />Under New Business, Mrs. !iodgins requested legislation for repeal of <br />Ordinance No. 1349.01 <br />Mr. Boehmer requested legislation for removal of assessment of the <br />George Bernadine propertq located on proposed extension of North Park <br />Drive. <br />Mr. Boehmer then referred request for refund of taater bi11 in amount of <br />$144.50 paid by Mrs. Gertz of Olmsted Township ta Finance Depart:naut. Pir. <br />Gerlach explsined this is a case iahere the party is not even hoaked into <br />our sewer system. She is not in North Qlmsted - billed in error and this <br />would be fust correcting an error rather than changing a billing and the <br />Finance Director will refund the money. <br />Mr. Boehmer requested legislation for sidewalks on Butternut Ridge Road <br />betweea Canterbury & Fitch Road. <br />Mr. Boebmer requested Service Director to put up barricades on North Park <br />Drive & Martin Drive between Lansing & North Park. He stated motorcylces, <br />trucks and cars are using same and it is a dust bowl. <br />Mr. Limpert requested legislation authorizing Service Director to advertise <br />for tires; legislatioa to apgropriate moneq to pay Haddad Bros.; legi.slaticm <br />authorizing Service Mxector to advertise for bids for aew generator for <br />Bradley Road Lift Station and lepislation authorizing Service Director to <br />advertise for bids for a new 25 yard packer truck. <br />Mr. tdest raquested to officially ask that the Reaolution Mayor Chiistman <br />submitted to Council from the Mayor's Association be submitted to the <br />Municipal DevelopmenC Co?mittee with a request for a recommendation to <br />Council as to what c•re should do about this. <br />Mr. tdest also requested radar on McKenzie Raad. Mr. []est a2so questianed <br />what is going to be done in reference to sunken sidewalks where sewers have <br />been put in. Mayor Christman said this situstion hes been outlined to <br />Council for the past feca yesrs with the recommendation th&t the City and <br />property awners repair these at 50X. He stated it is not al.ways the City's <br />responsibiliCy that sidewalks sink. He explained further it can aiso be <br />the responsibiZity of the hause conCractor in crnnnecting. Ma.yor Christman <br />said there is a proposed plan far the areas in eastern end of City and to <br />date he does not belive any have been corrected. Mr. ilest esked for an <br />approximate cost and count. 14ayor repli.ed we can get a couat and should <br />do so. iKrs. Hodgins questioned if *taple Rfdge is included. Mayor said <br />Maple Ridge, Georgette and Clague. <br />Mr. Prokasy referred ta Butternut Ridge sidewalks and questioned if it <br />was still the plan, as original recomendation from Coaanittee, to use <br />asphalt down in the area of I 80. He was answered yes. <br />Mr. Limpert aelced-thdt the request made by Mr. t'[yrice for sideEaalks on <br />Stearns Road be referred to the Municipal Development Committee. <br />
