Council Minutes 5-6-70 <br />Page -6- <br />adopted as part of the Urdinanoa No. 62-33 (tcncxvn as the Zaning Cado <br />of the Citq of North Olmstad) be ch"in¢ the dPaitnatiae rherea9n as <br />General Retail Business to Class B fli-Rise Busiaess Offfce and <br />Professional. <br />Under Old Bueiness, Mr. Prakaaq stated that for the benefit of the <br />people in the audience he did not attend the Public Heariag. He atated <br />as Citp Officiais and Council kncws, it is a very rare occastan for him <br />to mies any meetiug. He stated he regretted not having attended the <br />meeting; it was not because he Was afsafd of aap fssue. Re had a business <br />situation that hsd to be taken care of - wound up working until 4:00 A.M. <br />Mr. Prokasy wished to taalce it clear that it wasn't because he wate nat <br />interested but an that particular aight, at the last ffinute, it was <br />required that he get a report out. <br />President 0'Neiil referred Mr. Timothy's letter to Mr. Baehmer, Chairman <br />Municipal Developmeat Cammittee, for review by Committee and requested <br />a report on same at next regular meetiag. <br />Mr. Grady brought up subject of liabil.ity insurance written an bus line <br />which had been discussed at last Courtcil meeting. In the interim Mr. <br />Grady has talked to some insurance people and theq informed him that it <br />is feasfble and ailowable to rete the insurance on other methads, such <br />as cambination of milsage - vehlcles, etc. Mr. Gradq feels that in vi.ew <br />of our fares having goue up we should request at this ti.me our present <br />insurance carrier to renegotiate the coaCract bssed on this fact, and <br />ask the insurance carxier to change their reting procedure for us or <br />else to give us a reduetian. tie stated that it is not scmtthing that <br />caanot be done according to his diseussfon with seasoned salesmen. <br />Mayor Gfiristman stated he will check into it. It is contrary to what <br />he understands from a group of insurance people whom he met with to <br />set up, go over and review the insurance of the City. Hawever, if there <br />is some different method he would certafniq like to know about it. It <br />is insurance that is bid on a 3 yesr contract and we are into it about <br />1 year. <br />Mr. Grady said the policy holder, in this inatance being the City, would <br />lose tresendous money if this policq were cance2led during its term, so <br />ae an alternate suggested aaking present carrier to renagotiate. Mapar <br />Christman said he will check into it. <br />Under New Buainega, Mr. Limpert requested the Mayor as 5afety Director <br />to check into a business on Lorai.n Rpad - Chuck's Lawnsawer Service - <br />regardin$ saaitary conditions. He understands from people in that area <br />that there is a lack of saaitary facilities in the building he is opera- <br />ting in. Mayor Christman said this will be checked into. <br />Mr. Prokasy requested legielation from the Law Department concerning <br />changes recommended in the Curfew Ordinance. <br />V <br />
