<br />Council Minutes 4-7-70 -6- <br />Department while on duty for the City of North Olmsted; establiehing the <br />per diem alloaance to be paid to the Palice emplayees while attending <br />Police School, and repealing Ordinance No. 70-25, and declaring an <br />emergency. Mr. Limpert maved for eusgension of rule requiring three <br />separate readinga, aecanded by Mr. Speedling. Affirmative vote Boehmer, <br />Grady, Hodgins, Limport, Prakasy, Speedliag, West. Mr. Limpert then <br />moved for adoption of Ordinatice, secandad bq Mr. Speedling. Affirmative <br />vote Boehmer, Grady, Hodgins, Limpert, Prokasy, Speedliag, Weet. <br />Under old business, Mr. West referred to recomandatian that Mr. Jaclcnean <br />had made as our Traf€ie Ccraeultant on Dectcer Road traffie study with <br />re£erence to S.D.C. Subdivision. Mr. Jackman had auggested that if Dover <br />Road were continued thxough to the High School it would real2p alleviate <br />Uecker Road problem. This report was sent to Schoal Board with recommen- <br />dation that they consider that Dover Center Road be extended to Iiigh <br />School. The School Board submitted this recommendation to Lesko and <br />Associates, their architects. Mr. tiest received a letter from Board <br />recently asking several questione regarding feasibility of Mr. Jackman's <br />report. The Mayor agreed that theae qusetione would have to be submitted <br />to Mr. Jackman, and he agreed to foZlow through on this. <br />Mr. taest also questioaed when C.E.T. is going to be finished digging up <br />along Lorain Road. Service Director tJatts agreed to get an answer on this. <br />Mrs. Hodgins asked when Ward 2, particularly Deerfield area, might have <br />mini buses. Service Director Watts said this ie under study right naw. <br />President 0'Neill asked Mr. Watts if they could have a graphie picture <br />o£ this whole picture for Council at next meeting. <br />Mr. Limpert asked the Servi.ce Director status of needed repairs of Lorain <br />Road in frvnt of shopping ceater. Said exteasive repair is needed ta <br />maiatain road. Mr. Watts said there just isn't moaey in budget for it <br />this year. <br />Under new buainess, Mr. West announced that there will be a Design & <br />Platting Committee meeting on April llth, 10:30 a.m., Cftq Hall. He <br />also commented on what Mayor A1 Mi11s of Westv3ew had said about water <br />situation here. Mr. West said thet in the past two sumaers we have had <br />numerous complaints about low water at west end of the City. Mr. West <br />and Mr. Watts personally checked into situation. There is no doubt that <br />present system will not :upgort the use it is getting. The weat side <br />cities should definitely take a loak at getting an inlet of their oan. <br />The water problem is a regional problem. <br />Mr. Boehmer submitted his report request to Finance Committee for <br />additions Co the LeBern and Daver Lift Stations. He also comsnented <br />on complaints he has received from residents on Broxbourne Avenue about <br />bees, which have been a real problem. One of the residents on street <br />has hives. Residents waant to knaw how they can find out where the bees <br />are coming from, The Mayor suggested the State Laws could be checiced
