Council Minutes 3-3-70 -2- is that Council authorize the Mayor to eater into the Lease Agreement on behalf of the City of North Olmted with the Director of Hig}rways for the State of Ohio. Mrs. Hodgins then made a motion authorixing the Mayor to enter into the Lease Agreemeat. This mation wae seconded by Mr. Boehmer. A.Ffirmative vote Boehmer, Grady, Hodgins, Limpert, Prokasy, Speedling, West. Mr. Limpert, Chairman Finance Comanittee, reported this Comnittee met with Fire and Pol3ce Coanaittees an February 28th, and went over proposed offer and recamendations #rom the Departments. Mr. Limpert stated the request fcr $9,750. for three yesr man was met by this Committee; the request for 10% 'ifferential in rank was not agreed to, and an offer of 8% wse praposed; the hospitalizatiQn requsst was more or less turned down and will be Caken up under new negotiatians. Mr. Limpert stated the Finance Committee is waiting to hear whether or not the offer is acceptable. At this time President 0'Neill stated the annual Sus Drivers Safety Award Dinnar was held on February 28th, at which time a plaque was presente: to Mr. Litapert with the following iascription which President 0'Neill reaci: "Presented to Dewey Limpert - for ten years of distinguished seroices as both Member and Chairman of Tran$portation Committee of the North Olmsted City Council. North 02msted Municipal Bus Line." President 0'Neill stated we are very proud of Mr. Limpert. He had spent a great deal of time and had performed excellent work. Mr. Linpert stated the plaque means a great deal to him. Mr. West, Chairman Design & Platting Committee, stated this Comnittee met on February 28th aad reported the following: 1) Discussed the prnposed plan for the Slauner Subdivision and recommended ssme and will ask for legislation this evening; 2) Discussed the vacating of Northern Avenue at which time it wass agreed to give Pir. Speedling time to present any new evfdence as to why thia street should be vacated, inasmuch as this has been previously considered and Curned dawn. Mr. Prokasy, Chairman Public Safety, stated this Comittee will meet on Msrch 5th at 8:30 p.m.; there are a few iteme on agenda for discussion. Mr. Prokasy said he would like to cotmnend the North Olmated Fire Depart- ment in regard to Annual Report. Ch3eE Bement did a nice job and it is one of the best reports he has ever seen from this Departiaent. People addressing Council: Mrs. Gladys Zipp, 29658 Lorain Road, asked whett will the new Zoning Idah, Map including the 14th District be ready? Mayor Christman replied the map is being revised but are waiting the thirty day period before LL .
