Counci7. Minutes 3-3-70 -6- adoption of Ordinance. "Yeas" Hoehmer, Hodgins, Limpert, Prokasy, Speedling, West. "Nay" Grady. Resolution PTo. 70-60 was introduced by Mr. Boehmer. A Resolution authorizir.g the Mayor to enter into a contract with United Survey Inc., and Haddad Bros., Inc., for the emergency repairs to the Main Pige Line enr_ering the Sewags Treatment Plant, and declaring an emergency. I•ir. Boehmer moved fz)r suspension of rule requiring three separaze readinp,s, secvnded by Mr. West. Affirmative vote Boehmer, Gradj, Hodgins, Lfnpert, Prakasy, Speedling, t•lest. Mr. Boehmer then moved for adoptian of Resolution, seconded bq Mr. West. Affirmative vote Baehmer, Grady, Hodgins, Limpert, Prokasq, Speedling, West. Under Old Business Mrs. Hvdgins asked how are ve getting alvng with the extra pump for I,eBern Lift Statian? Mr. Baehmer stated an February 21st the pa:.,rs were inspected at Dover and LeBern Lift Stations. The new-pumps w_'_'.1 be installed as soon as possible and will be getting a letter fro-r.. '-'ervice Director Watts on this matter. Mr. West asked what is the date on the completian of overhead signs for Lorain Road? Mayor Christman replied it is now in process; a cantract has been signed but cannot determine when it will be eomplete. Mr. West reported that complaints are brought up continually regarding traffic light at Decker Road. Discvssion as to the light being gut on a bliaker or eliminated continued with Mayor Christman and Mr. West, as well as discussion of traffic lighe at Berkshire & Lorain Road. Mr. tdest suggested these be looked into to improve traffic pattern. Mr. Limpert suggested the possibility of Safety Committee meeting with Council to go-over the traffic pattern, cable, on Lorain Road. Mr. Boehmer stated he has had eleven complaints in connection with light at Berkshire and Lorain - felt this light should be put on caution in morning and evening hours. This will be checked into. Mr. Boehmer also suggested Iight at Shopping Center be checked to stop all traffic going west on Lorain in order to 1et shoppsng center traffic turn left onto Lorain Road. Diacussion continued beCween Mr. Boehmer, Mr. Watts, Mr. Prokasy and Mayor Christman as to solutions to these probleme. Mr. Prokasy asked what is the status on contract authoriaed with Ludaig & Associates? Mayor Christman said we shouid be getting regort in six weeks. Under New Business Mrs. Hodg3ns requested a traffic study be made at Ranchview & Lorain Roads because there will be new business operting there soon.
