<br />Resolution No. 70-8 was introduced by Mr. Prokasy. A resolution
<br />approving the report of the Assessment Equalization Board on objections
<br />concerning the estimated assessments for the improvemeat of certain
<br />streets and public easements by constructing saaitary sewers, sewer
<br />curb connections and necessary appurtena.nces, including necessary
<br />street resurfacing and restaration of drainage facilities (Contract
<br />No. 15--Zone 2. ), aztd declaring an emergency. Mr. Prokasy moved for
<br />suspension of rule requiring three eeparate readiags, secanded by Mr.
<br />Boehmer. Affirmative vate Boetmer, Grady, Hodgias, Limpert, Prokasy,
<br />Speedling. Mr. Prokasy thsn mmed for advption of Reeolution, seconded
<br />bq Mr. Boehmer. Affirmative vote Boehmer, Grady, Hodgina, Llmpert,

<br />Ordinance No. 70-9 was introduced by Mr. Prokasq. An Ordinance
<br />determining to proceed with the improvement of certain streets and
<br />public easements by constructing saniCary sewers, sewer curb cannectians
<br />and necessary appurtenances, including necessary street resurfacing and
<br />restoration of drainage facilities (Contxact No. 15--Zone 2), and
<br />declaring an emergencq. Mr. Prokasy moved for suspension of rule requir-
<br />ing three separate readings, secanded bq Mrs. Hadgins. Affixcnative vote
<br />Boehmer, Grady, Hodgins, Limpert, Prokasy, Speedling. Mr. Prokasy then
<br />moved for adoption of ardinance, seconded by Mrs. Aodgins. Affirmative
<br />vote Boehmer, Grady, Limpert, Hodgins, Prokasy, Speedliag.
<br />Under New Business, Mrs. Hodgins requested a resolutiou of thanks be
<br />prepared for the Lakewood Elks for their contribution of food and toya
<br />for aeedy families in North Olmsted.
<br />Mr. Prokasy requested Law Director Bruce Kitchen to prepare legislaticm
<br />necessary to acquire the sewer easement from Mr. Biskind in the North `
<br />Park Drive Gardenia area for a sum not to exceed $1,000.00.
<br />Mr. Limpert requested legislation to authorze vacation schedule; also
<br />legislation to iACT@!18@ the %ice Department Compliment by three men
<br />and to add the rank of Captain to Police Department, and to change
<br />the Urganization Chart providing for two captains; legislation to add
<br />three men to the Campliment of the Fixe Departmeat, also to add the
<br />rank of Captain to the Fire Department and to change the Orgsnization
<br />Chart to provide for three captains; leg3slatian to standardize the
<br />Holiday Policy for al,l regular employees to provide for seven paid
<br />holidays, including enplopee's birthdaq. The holldays will be New
<br />Years, Memorial Day, Jnly 4th, Labor Day, Thanksg?.ving and Christmas;
<br />legislation increasing pay range for the following positians: Clerk
<br />of Council pay $5,000.; Sexvi.ce Director pay range from $12,000. to
<br />$16,000.; Acting City Engineer pay range from $9,000. to $12,000;,
<br />Building Cammissioaer pay range from $9,000. to $12,000. plus changes
<br />in requireueats for 3nspectorg; Public Works pay ranges - list of these
<br />along with Building Department Inspectors will be subnitted to the
<br />Law Director; legislatioa changin$ Income Tax Ad3ustor pay to $5.00
<br />per hour.
