Council miniites 10-7°-69 -8• <br />Resolution No. 69-176 was introdueed by Mr. West. A 12eso1ution author- <br />izing the Service Director of the City of North Olmsted co complete appli- <br />cations for obtaining Federal Financial Assistance tmder tYte Federa] Dis- <br />aster Act, and declaring an emergency. Mr. West moveci for suspension of <br />ruIe requiring three separate readings, seconded by NIr. Limgert' Affirma- <br />tive vote Caster, Eian, Hodgins, Limnert, Miller, proka5y, taestm Mr, Ivest <br />then moved for adoution of resolution, seconded bv Mr. LimnerL, Affirma- <br />tive vote Caster, Eian, Hodgins, Limpert, Miller, Prokasy, West. <br />Under old business, Mrsr Hodgins asked how much trotible it wuuld be to get <br />sidewalks in on Theresa this Fa11, instead of delaying unt-i1 Spring as had <br />been suggested. People there have wanted sidewal.ks for six years now. <br />The Mayor said that several owners had raised question as to why they <br />should pay for sidewalk since it should have been put in by developer, <br />T'.zeir nuestion is whether they should have to pay fu1_1 amount- In this <br />case, the Mavor suggested a meeting betcaeen owners anci t,ouncil raould be <br />helpful to work out some sart af relief4 Mrs, I'Lodgins 5dici it on1y in- <br />volves two lots or Theresa, Mayor Christman went on t?:) say he does feel <br />that the City has a responsibility in this instance. Caster reauested C1erk. to send Municinal Develanment Committee of Coun- <br />cil the Mavor's letter of October 6th regarding the Bishop nronertv and also <br />Mrs. Bi.shop's letter. <br />Mr, Limnert auestioned Mayor ahout controversy a year ago over ingress and <br />egress in area of GYeat Northern Shopping Center on Lorain Road, After steps <br />were taken to ratify problem, has there been any response from merchants in- <br />volved informing neople hoT•7 to get: in and out, etc, <br />Mrse Hodgins said She had another reauest for a traffic light at David Drive <br />and Lorain? <br />Under new 1,usiness, Mr? Prokasy requested legislation for McCrone ?ubdivision <br />#3. Mr. ??rokasv then gave a renort on nossible solufiion to storimzaater prob- <br />lem in Nort?i Olmsted, (Council see report attached to these minutes) <br />Mr, Limpert requested legislation for pay increases for bus drivers effective <br />November lst, and also commended bus drivers for their patience and under- <br />standing when new epuipment for buses was purchased previous to considerati.on <br />of raise for bus drivers, Ne reauested a 30G hourly increase for theme Mr. <br />?qest asked about mini-buses and was told by Service Director laatts that they <br />
