Council Minutes $-5-69 <br />-3- <br />saying committee would consider squaring off mixed use district between <br />points in question, making a straight line, Mr. Prokasy made motion to <br />this effect, seconded by Mr. Caster, "Yeas" Caster, Efan, Hodgins, Lim- <br />pert, M311er, Prokasy, West. <br />On July 22nd Planning Commission wrote Council with referenee to zoning <br />amendments, No. 69-129 and 69-131, making recommendations for amending <br />these ordinances. The Design & Platting Committee concurs with recom- <br />mendationso Planning Commission also approved S. D, Ce Incm, and ap- <br />proved CeE.I.'s proposal fpr right-of-waya This will now come up for <br />consideration in Design & Platting Committee meeting on August 12, 8:00 <br />pom, <br />As Chairman of Public Parks, Property & Recreation Committee, Mr. Prokasy <br />read letter from the Principal pf a Parma High School expressing his ap- <br />preciation to Mre Tom Auner, Superintendent of City of North Olmsted <br />Seruice Dept., for the excellent job done in maintaining the Nox°th Olmsted <br />field for the Cleveland AA.A league. <br />Mra Limpert referred to an article in the Cleveland Press which he had <br />noticed regarding ajuvenile owning a car wh;ich his parents knew nothing <br />about. He had expressed his concern to Council at that time and Council <br />voted approval for MrA Limpert to write Senator Weeks and Representative <br />Mastics expressing our concern and suggesting that this subject be taken <br />under consideration at the State level. Recently Mr. Limpert received a <br />letter from George Mastics saying that they appreciated hearing from Mr. <br />Limpert, and as a result have an amendment to bill on this subjects <br />The following persons addressed Council: <br />Mr. D. Ernest, 30106 Zorain Rd., expressed his opinion reqarding Park <br />Ridge Association's interest in a Zoning Board of Appeals meeting re- <br />garding a variance requested. He also commented on City Law Director <br />representfng the Park Ridge Association. The Law Director, Bruce Kit- <br />chen, replied that he was at this meeting representing the City of Idorth <br />Olmsted, but that he has not been retained by the Park Ridge Civic Associ- <br />ation, nor would he accept such an offer. <br />Both Couneilmen Prokasy and West responded to Mr. Ernest's remarks, ex- <br />pressing the feeling that all groups have a right to be heard, that Coun- <br />ci1 represents the people and is always interested in knowing what people <br />are thinking; also, that all who wish to express their views will have an <br />opportunity at the Public Hearing. <br />Mr. William Jessett, 28364 Lorain Rd., asked what legal right do peopl.e <br />have when they tell him what he can do with his property? <br />Mr. Caster commented that Park Ridge Civic Association is not dictating <br />to Couneil or anyone else. They are voicing an opinion as to actions <br />coming before City, <br />Mrs. Francis Shade, 29587 Lorain Rd., comaaented on why she felt the West <br />Park Development was interested in rezoning on Lorain. <br />Mr. Emil V1ad, 830 Leader Bldg., Cleveland, Ohio, voiced his opinion on <br />Council procedure, readingg of the Zoning Ordinances, rights of 7$ proper- <br />ty ownets which he represents, and the xoning map.
