<br />Under o1d business, Mr, West inquired about Barton Road sidewalks. He asked
<br />the Mayor and Acting City Engineer Karhan if we could make arrangements soon
<br />to proceed with this projects
<br />MrH Wesit announced that there would be a Finance Gommittee Meeting on June
<br />23rd, 8:30 p-m, to consider Budget for 1970, and study Recreation Commission
<br />Proposal for recreational facilities that may be placed on the November bal-
<br />lot?
<br />Mrn West inquired about status of fireworks. Mayor C'hristman said that the
<br />Chamber of Commerce did not want [o undertake project this year, and unless
<br />City would be willing to underwr°ite $850, there would be no fireworks, There
<br />was discussion between Couneil and audience on their views. Gonsensus favored
<br />fireworks, Mro West then moved, secanded by Mr- Limpert, that the City spend
<br />up to $850 for fireworks, Affirmative vote Caster, Eian, Hodgins, 'Limpert,
<br />Prokasy, West, Negative vate MiLle.rA Mr, 0"Neill, Mr Limpert and Mr- West
<br />will talk to Community Gouncil about project<
<br />Mrs9 Hodgins suggested to Mr, Wes[ that F'inance Committee take into considera-
<br />tion easement behind Edwards and Savako in 1970 budget.
<br />Under new business, Mr- Prokasy requested legislation for appropriation of
<br />parcel of property needed foae walk-in park in conJunction with State on I-80
<br />project,
