Mr. James had an unusu- <br />ally large water bill in 1968n Tt was determined that he had been over- <br />charged for 14,000 cu. ft, of water, The Municipal Development Committee <br />recommends that the Finance DirectoY, with approval of Finance Committee, <br />repay Mr. James for this 14,000 cu. ft, of wacer. <br />The Mayor mentioned that he will be meeting with officials of Bay, Westlake, <br />Fairview and someone from Department of Natural Resources tomorrow, June 4th, <br />to investigate possibility of forming aconservancy distriet. The Mayor <br />also referred to comments on dedication and police protection. He said <br />that regardless of whether a street is dedicated or not, we just do nat have sufficient police protection to station one at one particular area <br />around the clock, and this would be the only sure way to catch speederse <br />Mr, Limpert, Chairman of Transportation Committee, said the present trans- <br />portation contract with Fairview will expire this coming July. This com- <br />mittee met with Fairview officials, Messrs. Leimkuehler and Gaul, to dis- <br />cuss conditions and will contact this committee in near future- <br />Mr. Prokasy, Chairman of Design & Platting Committee, said the Werwage q <br />Subdivision was approved by Planning Commission and Board of Bciidiftg zoiviN ? <br />evdS'Appeals (3 lots, 40', to be changed to 2 of approximately 60'.) <br />The Planning Commission has requested a 30 day exLension be granted on <br />Great Northern Partership mixed-use rezoning request. Mr. Prokasy moved <br />this request be granted, seconded by Mr, West. "Yeas" Caster, Eian, Hodgins, <br />Limpert, Prokasy, Westm The Planning Commission has studied proposed Urdin- <br />ance 69-120 and approved same. Mr. Prokasy will request legislation to amend <br />multi-family dwelling sections of Zoning Code to upgrade standards for park- <br />ing and density of units, and also will request legislation, as recommended <br />by Planning Commission, for a new zoning category, known as mixed multi-family <br />district. This category would allow a mixture of inedium-rise and garden-type <br />unitse It does not change any zoning on Lorain Road or elsewhere, merely sets <br />forth specific restrictions and standards on medium-rise apartment buildings <br />which are presently lacking in the Code. These ordinances amending code will <br />require Public Hearing, and date for this wi11 be set later. <br />Mr. West, Chairman of Finance Committee, said there is uYgent need to start <br />working on 1970 budget, but committee must have further information from <br />Administration first, Committee must meet at least by middle of June. <br />President Pro Tem Eian read petition from residents in the Delmere-Amesbury <br />area asking for relief from condition caused by four large dogs at residential <br />property of Robert and Marlene Baduza, 23922 Delmere Drive. The dogs bark con- <br />tinuously, conditions are unsanitary and sleeping quarters are a fire hazard, <br />the petition stated. Mr, Eian gave this petition to the Mayor and requested <br />he discuss it with Police Department. <br />Mr. Eian also read a petition from the Marion area residents regarding back- <br />up water from sanitary and storm sewers- He referred this petition to Muni- <br />cipal Development Committee.
