Further feels there wi11 be <br />pollution from incinerators, cars, parking problems, and also wiZl raise <br />taxes.; quesfiioned who the builder of the apartments is. <br />Mr. Engoglia stated he was an interested party in this land - Diversified <br />Investors are the builders. <br />Mr. C. Crabbs, Butternut Ridge Rd., discussed easement. Mr. Karhan explained <br />runs out to Lorain Rd. and will be used for traffic flow. Mr. Engoglia <br />described ingress and egress of property. <br />Mr. F. Salana, Azalea Lane, does not feel exceptions should be made and <br />is against the rezoning. Moved out to suburbs to get away from apartments. <br />Mr. West explained right of property owner. Discussed Zoning Board of <br />Appeals. Discussion continued. <br />Mr. V. Pinto, Carsten Lane, spok,e against rezoning - does not want hi-rise <br />or any apartment buildings and gave his reasons therefor. <br />Mr. Spaeth, 28873 Tudor Drive, stated he cannot speak officially for the <br />West Park Forest Ridge Civic Association, but feel the consensus is that <br />most people are against the rezoning and opposes this rezoning. <br />Mr. J. White, Azalea Lane, asked if ineeting could be continued until all <br />associations had been polled on this rezoning. Mr. West explained procedure <br />as to notices of a Public Hearing and meeting wi11 not be continued but <br />Council will be open to suggestions anyone may have. <br />Mr. L Mathews, Azalea Lane, questioned how plan for apartments fits into <br />overall plan for City. Mr. West gave brief history of zoning along Lorain <br />Rd. Also explained Comprehensive Plan which was drawn up three years ago <br />and which people were against. <br />Mrs. Zipp, Lorain Rd., commented that on Lorain Rd. a 5 story apartment can <br />be built on any comnercial property. <br />Mr. G. Belmont, 4636 Martin Drive, questioned Brookpark Rd. beiag extended <br />and if it will incorporate Mill Rd. Mr. West said it will not incorporate <br />Mi11 Rd. and has already been designed to be extended across Lorain Road <br />over to Dover Center Rd. considerably north of Mi11 Rd. <br />Mr. E. Poorman, 4560 Azalea Lane, questioned if a building permit has been <br />issued for a 5 story apartment building. He was answered no. <br />Mr. Rush, Porter Road, discussed rezoning of property and questioned who <br />owned property. <br />Mr. Engoglia stated who owned the property. <br />Mr. Dieterich, 26068 Kennedy Ridge Road, addressed t,he audience and suggested <br />they fight rezoning strenuousZy, and gave his reasons.
