Minutes of Public Hearing of July 26, 1971 '3- <br />Mrs. Rush, Porter Road, read letter from Mr. Curtis of Porter Road, who <br />wished to go on record as being opposed to any rezoning on Mill Road be- <br />cause of inadequate sewers, roads and additional apartments are not needed <br />in this area. Also feels his progerty would be devaluated and the peace <br />and quiet of neighborhood would be disturbed. <br />C. Froehlich, 4888 Porter Road, discussed piece of property she sold in <br />1965 as to zoning. Lengthy discussion took place as to year property was <br />rezoned. <br />Mr. A. Loomis, 27473 Mill Road, crnmnented on zoning of property in 1965 <br />and is opposed to hi-rise apartments in City. <br />Mayor Christman stated when Ord. No. 62-33 was passed in 1962 and at that <br />time there was such a major change in aoning that every property aaner <br />in the City was notified as well as newspaper notices. <br />Mr. Engoglia stated property was zoned commercial quite sometime before he <br />purchased the property and gave a description of land, area and zoning on <br />same. <br />Mr. Bomont, Martin Drive, questioned tap in charge for apartment buildings. <br />Mayor Christman explained new tap in charge to be effective January l, 1972 <br />and rates. <br />Mrs. Thomas, Wisteria Drive, stated she is completely against this rezoning <br />and gave reasons as to ecology, etc. also questioned what people can do to <br />have this parcel zoned back to residential. <br />Mr. West explained the legal procedure that can be followed. <br />Mrs. Rush, Porter Road, questioned what benefits the apartments will be to <br />North Olmsted. <br />Mr. Engoglia discussed tax valuation. Discussion as to tax reduction and <br />selling of property continued between Mrs. Rush and Mr. Engoglia. <br />Mr. West thanked everyone for coming to meeting. He also stated the Building, <br />Zoning & Development Committee will have further meetings regarding this <br />rezoning. Anyone having additional comments may get in touch with Mr. West <br />or leave message with Clerk. <br />Mr. West closed meeting at 9:50 P.M.
