Bruce Kftchen, City Engineer Atichael Raxhan, <br />Clerlc of Cauneil Nlora Hill. <br />Absentt President Francis J. 0'Ne3.11 <br />In the absence of Presideat 0'Neill meeting was called to order by <br />President Pro Tem Dewey Lirnpert at 8; 00 P.M. <br />iMinutes of Council meeting of April 6, 1971, were approved as written. <br />"?ayor Chr3.stman reported the follawinga 1} Cvuacil is in receipt of <br />copy of proposed amendn?enr to OWDA Agresment changing the Agreement <br />to take adwantage of an additianal S% our Plant is entitled to hecause <br />i*_ has been approved by a netropolitan Planning Agency, and requeeted <br />Council's favorable conaideration of this legislatian en agenda tanight; <br />2) received approval of Env3.ronmental Protectien Ageacp to advertise for <br />bids on the tert:tary treatment part of tbe p1ant exparsion and would <br />request favorable consideration of Counc3l to authorize advertising cxt <br />this contrsct. <br />Service Director Henry Caster reported he has sent communieation, datod <br />April 20, 1971, to respective Committeee of Cataitncil requesting legial.ation <br />for various bids. <br />City Engineer Michael Karhan reported the County Engineer hss requ+ested <br />Council to consider suspensian of the rule reaairing three s+eparate <br />readings on Ordinance 71-46 - Bradley Road Gulvert - in order to expedite <br />advertising and construction of same. <br />Mrs. ;3odgins, Chairnan Public Safety, Health & Welfare CommitCee artd <br />Recreatirnn, Public Pxrks b Building Commifitee, reported the fallaw3ng: <br />1) Recreatian, Public Parks & Building Committee met with repressnt.atives <br />of the nurserq school led by Mrs. iJeir cm April 7, 1971. Commi.ttee <br />members aad Service Director Caster were present. The Cosn?iCtee has no <br />objectf.ous to the use of the Nozth OlmBted Cortnmunity Cebin bq the muraery <br />school for the 1971-72 season. <br />2) Parks & Recreation Comnissian's request for lighting park axea for <br />night baseball was discussed. The whole el.ectrical ayetem in the park <br />needs reworking. Legialation an agenda tonight authorizing Service <br />D3rector to advertise for bids for revaeping existing lighting systeem <br />at the ball diamand. <br />3) Mrs. Hodgins called for a meeting of the Public Sa.fetq, Health & <br />Welfare Committee on N(on.day, April 26, 1971, 8:00 P.M., City Hall, and <br />requested Police Chie£ Hird and Mr. Grady to attend this meeting. Chief <br />Hird to be notified.
