Follozaing <br />items were uuc3er discussion: <br />1) Sidewalks ihrou;hout the City where school buses wi11 not be pickiug <br />up children. M•r. Boehmer will request Engineer to study theae Cfffc;c!r.t <br />locations amd report back to Comvaittee ao that legislativn can be requested; <br />2) re - reconnsendaticra of Equslizatian Board to go ahead with sidecaalk <br />repair where needed. <br />At this time lir. Boehmer made a motion that Council approve the <br />Equalization Baard Report. Motion was seconded by Mr. taest. Affirmative <br />vcte Boehmer, Grady, Hodgins, LimQert, Frokasy, Speedling, t•?est. Motion <br />carried. <br />3) re - drainage ditch behind the homes on aorth side of Pa7aa Drfve. <br />Ditch will be cleaned out by Service Departntent as saon ss Weather permi.ts. <br />4} re - recomnendations of Mr. Lynn t4eGi11, 5185 Devon Drive, to mare <br />equitablq aasess Iand owners and coamercial developers for the availabiZity <br />of the Sanitary Sewerage System. Committee would like to turn this over <br />to Mr. GTapne IZuhn for study aad report baclc to Comaittse. <br />Mr. Speedling, Chairran Enviraamental Control Committee, called for a <br />co-,un-i.ttee meeting on May 3, 1971, 8:15 F.M., CiCy Iiall. <br />Mr. G1est, Chairman BuildinQ, Zoning & Development Committee anci <br />Tranaportation Coniittee reported the follocaing: 1) Building, Zoning <br />& Development Committee met, reviewed and will ask for 1eg3slaticm <br />approving for recorcl purposes onlq subdividinb laad cal].ed norinka Sub- <br />division on Decker Road; 2) Committee met oz ^rril 15th, with Citiaens <br />Committee on Li.nd Use. That Committee is currently work3.ng on an <br />interim report; there are a number of sub-coaenittees, i.e., Public <br />Housing, Industrial & tlospital, eCc., and are worki.ng on various projects. <br />3) Trausportation Committee met and in vieia of the iaeiigibility at <br />this time for a Federal Grant, there is legislation on agenda tonight <br />authorizing the Service Director to advertise for bids for six buses. <br />Mr. Prokasy, Chairman Long Range Planning Committee, reported he has <br />given a detailed study of ordinance changes recamneitded bp the Parks & <br />Recreatian Cormnission to conp2y with the cuxrent City Charter, to Mrs. <br />Hodgins, Chairman Recreation, Public Parks & Building Comittee for her <br />perusal. <br />Letters, Communications: <br />Clerk read commnication dated April 7, 1971, invitinp, Council to attend <br />ecumenical service coumemorating lOtii anniversay celebration on April <br />25, 1971, of Christ the ICing Lutheran Chuxch. <br />Clerk read letter signed by 27 residents residing on Whitethorn and <br />Andrus Avenues regarding existinw conditions at entrance to said streets <br />with request that strong measures be taken immediateLq to correet tha <br />iteme cited in letter.
