Conatittee will go ahead with <br />this sug$estion. <br />LETTERS. COMMtJNICATItkiS: Th+e Clerk stated she had received a petiticn, <br />January 13, 1971, frc? Mr. Rabert Saringer, 2336 Stcneybrook, containing <br />548 sigtiatures, requesting au open meeting att the proposed legislation <br />concerning the increaee of sewer taac rate. Mr. Saringer had requested <br />this be entezed into minutes of Couuncil meeting. <br />The Clerk atated she had recaeived a petition contai.ning 37 signatures <br />in oppositian to the proposed R Mart. This makes a total of 616 signatures <br />on all of the petitions received regarding oppositian to proposed R Mart. <br />Mr. Weat coaaaented in connection to prapoeed K Mart that Council has <br />received nothing whatsoever in the way of a proposal. A1.so, there is <br />nothing coming ug tonight in the waq of rezoning. More or less awaiEing <br />further action from Citiaens Comm3,ttee. There were three proposals <br />that were discussed wfth the C#.tiaens Comni.ttee at their leat meetiag, <br />and the Comnittee was informed that Couacil has to act on Lhem fairly <br />soon, but no date has been seC. <br />At this time President 0'Nei11 stated last evening, January 18th, Maqor <br />Christman had called a public resting for Che citizens of North Olmsted <br />to ask qwsstione relative to the expanaioa af the sewer facilitp on <br />Shepherd Rd. Hill and the f2nancistg thereof. It was attended by approxf- <br />mately 300 people. Many queetione were received relatine to this ittaCaila- <br />tion. <br />People addressing Council: <br />Mr. Ear1 J. Timothy, 29863 Broxbourne, esid he lesrned receatlp that <br />the balance of the ditch lot on Guilford at whieh the Broxbourma Lift <br />Station is Zocated haa been acquired through the land ageat far Brawne <br />& Associates for the City. Heard rumor this is to be the lacaticrn of <br />the retention basin for the pragoeed Embaesy Development. Asked if this <br />is true and ia it algo going to be open? <br />Mr. Karhan, City Engiueer, stated he does not kaaw of anq such gxoposal. <br />Mayor Christman said it is true that the City has acquired that 1at but <br />he lmows of no such proposal. Mr. West said there is ao reterttion basia <br />connected with Fmbasey that has been progosed that is ctff their propexty. <br />Mr. Timothy asked about specific plsns - understands the City psid $1,000.
