But sCill it wi11 aot be the highest in the County, aa was the old rate when Narth Olmettd started out an a sewer program 10 years ago. Since that time ratss of over $9.00 per mef are in effect. The total cost of ending thi8 pollution o€ waters in the Cuyahoga County ia just starting to be real3aed bq many communities other than North Olmated. Inflation and increased treatment fsciZiti.es (odor control, sludge conditioning, tertiary treatment, phosphate ren+ova]., and fuil chlozination) needed ta satisfy today's standards fvr waetewater treatment as established by the State of Ohio Departmsat of Hea3th and the Faderal Water Quality Administration have raiaed the cost of the proposed tremtmmt plant eacpansion ta $5,454,240. 3ncluding capitalised interese. Of this, $5,115,499. is eligible for grmnt participation. There is also the need to purchase equipment necessary for the televising and sealing of sewera ia the nartheast aectian of the City and to better enable good maintenance of the es?tire serwrer system.
