Couacil Minutes of 32-15-70 <br />has not been started before now. <br />-6- <br />President Pro Tem Prokasy atated rhe mAmbers of the Jay Cees had <br />supported this before. It did nat receive the citizens broad support <br />which is the reason it did not OGCUx'. <br />At this point Mr. West made a mat3dn that Council as a Whole iavite <br />interested parties to becanbe a Citisens Ccrmmittee to stutiq land use in <br />the City of North Ol.msted aud the first meeting be held on January 7, <br />1971. As a part of this iaot3vn direct Clerk to write to every <br />association and organization she has &nawledge af conveying this infor- <br />matian. Notion was seccnded by Mr. Limpert. Affirmetive vote Boehmer, <br />Gracty, Hodgins, Limgert, Prokasq, Speedling, IJest. Mation carried. <br />Presfdent Pro Tem Prokasy asked for cooperation of the news media as <br />to announcement of ineeting place and Cime. <br />Mr. West stated that not only the afficera of organizations and <br />associations are invited but a11 members and interested people be <br />invited. <br />Mr. T. Sprague, 24755 Mitchell Dr., aslced to meet with Mr. Grady to <br />discuss proposal of rezoning an area north of Brookpark and east of <br />Great Northexn Blvd. Mr. Grady esid he had met with Mr. R. Marquis <br />before neeting tonight sud he sud developer of project have decided <br />to have a meeting and will let Mr. Gradq knaw of the date and time ao <br />he may attend. <br />Mr. Dennis Tischler, Nandina Dr., discnssed his study of the impact of <br />revaluatian of property on taxes. Referred to Ord. 70-192 on agenda <br />which will set the milesge rste for the GY ty at 12.1. He wholeheartedly <br />endorses the move. Discussed what it would do to hia tases. Feels iC <br />is a s:nall price to pay for the additional services we need in our <br />community. <br />Mr. J. Neville, 5155 Hampton Dx., aslced Mr. West if he considered reducing <br />the rate$ for school children. Pointed out St. Edward childzen pay Quite <br />a bit - wants better tranaportation for those schoal children. Asked if <br />mini buses are paying off? <br />Mr. West ssid Transportetion Conunittee did not consider reducing it. <br />They are keeping the half rate that people pay. Tnsofar as St. Edward's, <br />number of children going there has dropped off substantially in the past <br />2 years. Had sgecial buees going in A.M. and P.M. but can no longer <br />a€ford to do it. He pointed out the bus line does run aff the fare box <br />only. In some cases special bvses are sti12 rumiing. Regarclf.ng the <br />mini buses, they are beginning to break even ared are providing service. <br />Discussed building up of cliente].. <br />Mr. J. Pairfield, 5059 Devon Dr., esid he feel the Citizes?s Camaittee is <br />good and peaple would feel a lot better if motians on all changes were <br />tabled fox the time being.
