Council Minutes of 12-19-72 <br />-4- <br />Under New Business: <br />Mrs. Saringer asked Mr. Karhan if he has any information regarding the condo- <br />miniums in Westlake that are to be built on Walter Rd. as far as drainage. <br />Mr. Karhan stated he has not. Mayor Christman said the area of Walter Rd. and <br />Maple Ridge is a bad floa~diag area in the City. Detrelopers are in Westlake <br />for a proposed reaaning for apartment use. Had sMSeting with pxcsperty earners <br />from Westlake and there are definite prob leas, This is one axaa where North <br />Olmsted storm water gees into Westlake culverts and Westlake does into ours. <br />Does not know haw much ~i,ll be resolved. Ifis points up further the need for <br />joint solution to floodi:eg problems. <br />Mr. West asked what the next step is on joint study with U.S. 'Engineers on storm <br />sewer study.Mago-.~ Christman said a formation of a governmental bode who has <br />authority and power to raise money, correct the problems, set priorities, etc. <br />Feels the formation of this authoritative body will be the biggest hangup. <br />Mrs. Beringer called for an Enviroc~ental Control Cosaaittee meeting on January 4, <br />1973, at 8:00 P.M., City Hall. <br />Mr. Lampert stated according to information received from Safety Director Carnahan <br />the demolition of state owned houses in right a€ way of 1480 will begin after <br />March 3rd. <br />President O'Neill asked Service Director Caster if it would be possible to bring <br />to the attention of the men plowing snow when they get to a cul-de-sac to go <br />clockwise instead of cotes clockwise. If they start at the curb and go clock- <br />wise it would take less passes and push the snow in the center of the cul-de-sae <br />instead of driveways. Discussion continued. <br />Mr. West moved that sleeting be adjourned, seconded by Mr. Boehseer. Affirmative <br />vote Boehss3r, Giesser, Lampert, Prokasy, Beringer, Speedling, tJest.
