Counni.l Minutes of 12-5-72 -5- <br />emergency. Mr. Prokasy waved for suspension of rule requiring three separate <br />readings, seconded by Mr. hest. Affirmative vote Boehmer, Giesler, Limpert, <br />Prokasy, Saringer, Speedling, West. Mr. Prokasy moved far adoption of <br />Ordinance, seconded by Mr. West. Affirmattive vote Baehr, Giessssr, Limpert, <br />Prokasy, Saringer, Speedl3ng, West. tic,tian carried. Ord. No. 72+197 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 72-198 was introduced by Mr. Bpeedling and given its first ::e^~':'.~:g. <br />An Ordinance authorizing the Building Cxm~issioner to proceed with the des~lition <br />or removal of the dwellings on Fer+a~eent Parcel No. 235-11-15, Lorain Road, <br />North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Resolution No. 7Z-199 was introduced by Mr. West and given its first reading. <br />A Resolution suthoririnq the Mayor to release the State of Ohio freas< any <br />responsibiiity for storm waters which are drained froze the Great them <br />Shopping Center Developaezsts and to further accept from the Great Northern <br />Partnership a release of r~pansibil3ty to the City of North Olmsted. <br />Under Old Business: -Mrs. Saringer inquired if Council as a Whole will disczs~s <br />where the money received from Federal Rewezue Sharing will be used. Mr. West <br />stated this has been discussed at a Finance Committee meeeting but no decisions <br />have been made. Council will have to vote on this, and the money does go into <br />a specie:. fund. Possibilities such +ss f.inancing construction of police station, <br />money into the bus 11ne, storm sewers, were discussed at Finsa~ce Cozaezittee <br />meeting. It was pointed out that as far as recreational facilities are concerned <br />this money cannot he used as far as City participation where federal Witching <br />grants are available. Present status is to wait and see how much money will <br />be received. <br />Under New Business: Mr. Prokasy introduced Mr. Del Limpert, farmer Safety- <br />Service Director of the City. <br />Mr. Giesler scheduled a Legislation Committee meeting on December 1$, 1972, <br />at 9:00 P.M., city Hall. <br />Mr. Lizspert discussed interstate highways and accidents that occur from slow <br />moving vehicles moving out into center of highway; and inquired if Co~cil <br />would want to consider writing the State Legislature asking that heavy trucks <br />be restricted to two Lanes, where there are more than two lanes. Subject put <br />into Committee. <br />Service Director Caster referred to point brought up by Mr. Boehzuer relative <br />to Christmas Trees. Anyone wishing to donate their live Christmas trees to <br />the City, the Service Department will take care of this and plant them an <br />City property. Mrs. Beringer said this was brought up at a~eetiam$ size attended <br />on December 2nd, urging people to buy balled trees and donate them to the City. <br />Mr. West waved that meeting be adfourned, seconded by Mr. Bayhazer. Affirmative <br />vote Boehmer, Giessen, Limpert, Prokasy, Saringer, Speedling, West.
