Council Minutes of 10-3-72 <br />-5- <br />People Addressing Council: <br />Mrs. Gladys Zipp, 29658 Lorain Rd., stated her concern in the max~er in <br />which bicycles are driven and is glad the ordinance is being reviewed. <br />Mr. Fred Ress, 5847 Stearns lld., asked in relation to Stearns Rd. widening <br />if Council has to consent by ordinance to any i~rovement made by the County <br />to the present road. It is the opinion of the Law Director that a consent <br />ordinance would be nec~aary but Mr. Kitchen will research this and give <br />Mr. Ress an answer at a later date. <br />Mr. Mike Viola, 4510 Dover Canter Rd., stated in regard to the extension <br />and widening of Stearns Rd. because of controversy generated would Bice to <br />request that when Council votes on a consent ordinance the meeting glace be <br />changed from City Rall to either the Com~nity Cabin or the Righ Sc~oo1. <br />Also regarding the bicycle ardnaace does not feel the present cave is being <br />enforced. Stearns Rd. da.scrs~ed with Council the Stearns Road <br />proposal in general. <br />Mr. John Fairfield, 5059 Devon Dr., discussed legal capacity of the building <br />and the possibility of Council meeting some~rhere else when the cc~sent <br />ordinance on Stearns Rd. is voted ~. Mr. West explained the Charter which <br />is approved by the people provides that Council Meetings will be held in <br />Council Chamber. The meeting place cannot be changed arbitrarily. <br />LEGISLATION: <br />Resolution No. 72-159 introduced by Mr. West was given its second reading. <br />A Resolution accepting for record purposes only the Bugler Subdivisimt. <br />Resolution No. 72-161 was introduced by Mr. Lampert. A Resolution accepting <br />the amounts and tetra as determined by the Budget Cosedsaion and authorising <br />the necessary tax levies and certifying them to the County Auditor. Mr. <br />Lampert moved for suspension of rule requiring three separate readings, <br />seconded by Mr. West. Affirmative vote Boehmer, Giessen, Lampert, Prokaay, <br />Beringer, Speedling, West. Mr. Lampert moved for adoption of Hesolutian, <br />seconded by Mr. West. Affirmative vote Boehmer, Giessen, Lampert, Prokasy, <br />Saringer, Speedling, West. Motion carried. Res. No. 72-161 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 72-162 was introduced by Mr. IJest and given its first reading. <br />A Resolution accepting for record purposes only the Ramberg Subdivision. <br />Ordinance No. 72-163 was introduced by Mr. Boehmer. An Ordinance enacting <br />Section 533.11 of the General Offes Code of the City of North Olmsted, Ohio <br />(Codified Ordinances) entitled "Possession of Rypodermic; excagrt$tams; control <br />precautions" to conform to c~tanges enacted b3' the Ohio General Assas~b3y, <br />declaring as emergency.
