Resolution No. 72-I27 was introduced by Mr. West and giwree its first reading. A Resolution accepting for record purposes only Brookpark Road Exte+~ion and Sparky Lace and Declaring an energaney. Under ©ld Business: Mrs. Beringer discussed the crosswalk at playground on Clague Road. The cros ~ralk needs to be repainted and understaesds cross- walks are not painted anysrare unless there is a flashing light ss-d t+irs. Beringer requested a flashing limit there. Mayor Christman discussed a traffic Light et Alexander or at playground crossing. Ae will have this checked out to see what Safety Department thanks. President O'Neill requested Mr. Boehner, Chairman Public Safety, Health 6 Welfare Committee, to take this into Committee cad work with Safety Director on same. Mr. Lampert expla3.ned why the rescinding ordinance pertaining to the approval of Stearns Road extension previously subadtted to the Coea~ty Co~i.ssi~ers was not on Ag~da. Mr. Lampert stated that is congaing with Council Members and after the meeting with the County Comesiaaioners and the response receavaed from then that possibly this problae ca,a be resolved without tslcing the step of rescinding the particular ordinance. He feels you can get favorable results by starting off on an equal sound basis, and this is one reason why the ordinance was not introduca~d. As soon as possible he feels Council should get in touch with the Cosaaoners and express desire and intent of resolving this to satisfaction of citize;-s. Mr. Lampert scheduled a meeting of Council as a Whole on July 31, 1972, 8:15 P.M. Mre. Beringer stated oa behalf of the people of Stoneybrook would like to thank Service Director Caster and the Service Department for the work which is being done there cad hopes it continues.
