Motion <br />carried. <br />Under ©ld Business: Mrs. Beringer discussed the crosswalk at playground <br />on Clague Road. The cros ~ralk needs to be repainted and understaesds cross- <br />walks are not painted anysrare unless there is a flashing light ss-d t+irs. <br />Beringer requested a flashing limit there. Mayor Christman discussed a <br />traffic Light et Alexander or at playground crossing. Ae will have this <br />checked out to see what Safety Department thanks. <br />President O'Neill requested Mr. Boehner, Chairman Public Safety, Health 6 <br />Welfare Committee, to take this into Committee cad work with Safety Director <br />on same. <br />Mr. Lampert expla3.ned why the rescinding ordinance pertaining to the <br />approval of Stearns Road extension previously subadtted to the Coea~ty <br />Co~i.ssi~ers was not on Ag~da. Mr. Lampert stated that is congaing <br />with Council Members and after the meeting with the County Comesiaaioners <br />and the response receavaed from then that possibly this problae ca,a be <br />resolved without tslcing the step of rescinding the particular ordinance. <br />He feels you can get favorable results by starting off on an equal sound <br />basis, and this is one reason why the ordinance was not introduca~d. As <br />soon as possible he feels Council should get in touch with the Cosaaoners <br />and express desire and intent of resolving this to satisfaction of citize;-s. <br />Mr. Lampert scheduled a meeting of Council as a Whole on July 31, 1972, <br />8:15 P.M. <br />Mre. Beringer stated oa behalf of the people of Stoneybrook would like to <br />thank Service Director Caster and the Service Department for the work which <br />is being done there cad hopes it continues. <br />UndlY New Business: Mr. ts+est requested legislation to approve the plate <br />and installation of the subatetiox- and the roadway by C.B.I. <br /> <br />
