Minutes of Council Meeting of May 3, 1972 -2- <br />Mr. Speedling, Chairman Tranepartation CtxmHittee, reported the following: <br />1) Committee met on April 26, 1972, primarily to discuss traffic signals <br />upon which Mr. Lampert reported. Committee approved and eat priorities <br />according to the Mayor's re dstons and passed sage on to Finance <br />Committee for further aetion; 2) Committee also met oa April 29, 1972, <br />with the Utilities Committee of Fairview Park to discuss euggaetions and <br />ideas Coom-ittee has in way of transportatian that might affect Fairview. <br />No concrete developments came out of that Heating and will have another <br />meeting in near future, <br />Mr. hest, Chairman Building, Zoning & Development Committee and Long <br />Range Planning Committee, reported the following: 1) Public Hearing <br />on Ord. 72-27 was held on April 24, 1972. Heard comments from audience <br />and are holding Ordinance in abeyance subject to hearing from owner of <br />the property who was not in attendance at Public Hearing; 2) Building, <br />Zoning & Aevelopment Come~ittee met on April 24, 1972, and wit aw~r with <br />the developer of the S.D.C. Subdivision the possibility of uu~ierground <br />wiring, which he resisted because of his own problems and stating that <br />the property had bean sold to another party and, thasrefore, they really <br />did not have jurisdiction. Committee has asked that the installation of <br />the overhead wiring be delayed until this problem can be resolved between <br />the developer and the parson who has either purchased the lead or sugpased <br />to purchase the land; 3) Reviewed the Broakpark Extion et~d proposal <br />as it now stands rich is basically the same as the original proposal and <br />which had previously been approved by Platming Cammiseion sad Council. <br />There are some email changes in road, plus it will be ~ceeeary to <br />appropriate the right of way and assess the property Demers for the four <br />lane highway. dill request legislation to proceed with this project, <br />4) another item brought up was a presentation bq Multicon in regard to <br />development of town houses. <br />People addressing Council: <br />Mr. Frank Rush, 5072 Porter Road, discussed request for a hearf.ng to <br />present charges against the School Board. <br />Mr. Delmar Ernest, 30106 Lorain Rd., discussed Ord. No. 72-53 - identifi- <br />cation card, etc. <br />LEGISLATION: <br />Ordinance Na. 72-38 introduced by Mr. Speedling was given its third reading. <br />An Ordinance granting free transportation on the North Olmstead Municipal <br />Bus Line to retired full time employees of the City of North O1~ted. Mr. <br />Speedling moved for adoption of Ordinance, seconded by Mrs. Beringer. <br />Affirmative vote Boehmer, Giesser, Lampert, Beringer, Speedling, West. <br />Motion carried. <br />Resolution No. 72-39 introduced by Mr. Giesser was given its third reading. <br />A Resolution accepting for record purposes only the Sandy Ridge Subdivision <br />No. 9. Mr. Giesser moved for adoption of Resolution, seconded by Mr. <br />Boehmer. Affirmative vote Boehmer, Giesser, Lampert, Beringer, Speedling, <br />West. Motion carried. <br />Resolution No. 72-41 introduced by Mr. Giesser was given its third reading. <br /> <br />
