Council Minutes of Z-18-72 <br />-5- <br />Under Old Business: Mr. West asked Finance Director Gerlach when RITA <br />(Regional Income Tax Agency) will be putting out information and forms <br />for various cities. Mr. Gerlach stated in a few weeks - forms have <br />been designed and printed; IRS tapes have been received by RITA and <br />addressing will begin soon. <br />Mr. West wade a motion that Co~ci.l go on record as approving anal wholly <br />supporting the Hospital Policy Positioc~ Statement draws up by the Mayor <br />with regard to the hospital aged int~tt to cooperate with all concerned <br />in the developm$at of a haspital for this area. Mohan was seconded by <br />Mr. Prokasy. Affirmative vote Boetmser, Giesser, Limpert, Prokasy, <br />5aringer, SpePdling, West. Motion carried. <br />Mr. Limspert asked status of entrance out onto Brookpark from Zayre's. <br />Mr. West said the owners were asked to certify that they would extend <br />+~his when Brookpark was moved south, Answer received is that they are <br />willing to gay anq reasaaable expesaae incurred. Mr, West said this could <br />mean many things - what is reasonable cost? Mr. West requestsd Mr. Karhan <br />to cam~aunicate with the people and ascertain what their intent is. Dis- <br />cussion continued. <br />President O'Neill asked if any consideration has been given to the possi- <br />bility of installing a light at the entrance of Zayre's. Mayor Christ~aan <br />said it has been looked into but the Police Department dose not feel a <br />light will stop the type of accidents that do happen. the fault of the <br />accidents are driver errors and it can still happen if a light is there <br />plus additional probability of propertq damage accidents. Discussion <br />continued. <br />Under New Business: Mr. West requested legislation approving for record <br />purposes only the Peter Lasch Subdivision. <br />Mr. Limpert requested Clerk to write the Fire and Police vepartments <br />acknowledging their request for a aneeting and the Finance Committee will <br />meet with them at earliest cocnranience. <br />Mr. Lin~ert called for a Finance Committee meeting on January 22, 19?2, <br />10:30 A.M., City Hall. <br />Mr. West moved that meeting be adjourned, seconded by Mr. Boehmer. <br />Affirmative vote Boeha~er, Giesser, Lampert, Prokasy, Saxinger, 3peedling, <br />West.
