• Council Minutes of 12-4-73 -2- <br />Mr. Limpert referred to meeting of Fairview and North Olmsted Council last Fall <br />and presentation given showing where the needs were. Wondered what can be gained <br />by repetitious information at this time. Mr. Speedling feels they are ir~~er~=s ted <br />in knocaing what o~sr deficit is now at the end of the year. <br />Mr. West, Chairman Building, Zoning & Development Committee and Long Range Planning <br />Committee, zeported B. Z. & D. Committee met an December 3rd; reviewed and discussed <br />following: 1) Building Commissioner brought up fence along Lawson Store at Christman <br />and Lorain Rd. where Council had specified a 5 ft. fence all slang the eastern side <br />of the property. A brick wall is being erected, and Building Commissioner as well <br />as others the Committee had talked to, felt a 3 ft. fence would be more appropriate <br />in the front but in the back a 5 ft. fence was still necessary. <br />Mr. West moved that previous action by Council be changed on the property on the <br />southeast corner of Lorain Rd. and Christman Drive to reflect the fence in the <br />front of the store be 3 ft. and in the back of the store S ft. Motion seconded by <br />Mr. Boehmer. Affirmative vote: Boehmer, Giesser, Limpert, Prokasy, Saringer, <br />Speedling, tJest. Motion carried. <br />2) DuBose Subdivision consisting of two lots - to straighten out property lines <br />between the two lots. Legislation will be requested to approve for record purposes <br />only . <br />3) North Olmsted Arms Medical Building. Have more parking places than is required; <br />retention basin for drainage has been approved by Engineering Dept. Committee <br />recommends parking and layout be approved. <br />Mr. West moved that Council approve the parking and layout of the North Olmsted Arms <br />Medical Bldg. Motion seconded by Mr. Giesser. Affirmative vote: Boehmer, Giesser, <br />Limpert, Prokasy, Saringer, Speedling, West. Motion carried. <br />4) Marathon Subdivision located at Butternut Ridge and Lorain proposed eating place. <br />Planning Commission voted to reject this plan as not good use of land. Committee <br />recommends same. <br />Mr. West moved that Council go on record as sustaining the refection by Planning <br />Commission of the Marathon Subdivision. Motion seconded by Mr. Giesser. Affirmative <br />vote: Giesser, Limpert, Prokasy, Saringer, Speedling, Weat. Abstained: Boehmer. <br />(Reason for abstaining - Mr. Boehmer is in restaurant business.) Motion carried. <br />S)North Olmsted United Methodist Church on west side of Dover Center Rd. Reviewed <br />parking places - they need 54 and have 76; reviewed drainage and have City approved <br />retention basin plan in good location. Committee recommends approval. <br />Mr. West moved that Council approve the parking layout of North Olmsted United <br />Methodist Church. Motion seconded by Mr. Boehmer. Affirmative vote: Boehmer, <br />Giesser, Limpert, Prokasy, Saringer, Speedling, tJest. Motion carried. <br />6) Proposed temporary office building of West Side Federal Branch Office which <br />Planning Commission rejected. Committee reviewed same and will defer action until <br />receipt of Planning Commission minutes. <br />7) Plans of Anthony Savarino for relocation of a barber shop to 4877 Dover Center <br />Rd. to be located three houses north of Mill Rd. on east side of Dover Center. <br />• phis has been before the Board of Building Code Appeals who approved same based on <br />specific construction ox renovation and outside facing so that it meets City Code <br />for a commercial type of occupation. <br />
