<br />• Council Minutes of 12-4-73 <br />-3- <br />Mr. West uaoved that Council approve parking layout of Savarino Barber Shop. <br />Motion seconded by Mr. Giesser. Affirmative vote: Boehmer, Giesser, Li~Apert, <br />Prokasy, Saringer, Speedling, West. Motion carried. <br />8) East side of Great Northern Blvd. wherein it was specified that a fence with <br />slats would be behind commercial locations. Homeowners Association initiated <br />negotiations with developer and agreed to take money that would have to be e~cpended <br />on the slats and buy shrubbery to be planted on homeowners land so they could take <br />care of same. A11 details have been verified, etc. Committee recommends same. <br />Mr. West moved that Council go on record as approving shrubs on the east side of <br />Great Northern Blvd. in place of sle.ts in the fence. Motion seconded by Mr. <br />Giesser. Affirmative vote: Boehmer, Giesser, Lampert, Prokasy, Saringer, Speedling, <br />West. Motion carried. <br />9) Oswald Body Shop on Dover Center which is an addition to the body shop. Parking <br />and layout meets City Code; drainage is satisfactory. Had Been before the Board <br />of Zoning Appeals because of setback which has been agreed. Committee recommends <br />approval. <br />Mr. West moved that Council approve the parking and layout of the Oswald Body <br />Shop at corner of Dover Center Rd. near Lorain Rd. Motion seconded by Mr. Boehmer. <br />Affirmative vote: Boehmer, Giesser, Lampert, Prokasy, Saringer, Speedling, West. <br />Motion carried. <br />10) Barton tJoods Subdivision ~fl - consisting of four lots - changing so that one <br />lot contains all of the backland. Committee agreed to defer action until hearing <br />from Metropolitan Park Board who is interested in purchasing the backlands and <br />give them a reasonable time to do that; <br />I1) Dedication of Benwood Circle. Engineering Dept. and Building Dept. advised <br />Committee that everything is in that is req_uiXed by the City and legislation for <br />same will be requested, <br />At this time President O'Neill addressed Council Members referring to minutes of <br />November 20, 1973, regarding Red Fox Restaurant Tavern proposal and action by <br />Council. President O'Neill discussed report given by Mr. West as well as legal <br />facts presented by Law Director Kitchen. President O'Neill requested Council to <br />reconsider their vote on Red Fox Restaurant Tavern proposal under "Old Business". <br />People addressing Council: <br />Mr. Bill Bruton, 4577 Kew Drive, addressed Council regarding shrubbery on east <br />side of Great Northern Blvd. <br />Mr. Dick Mongello, architect on proposed Red Fox Restaurant Tavern, addressed <br />Council citing facts regarding this proposal and requested Council to reconsider <br />their vote. <br />Mary Slama, 4512 Oak Circle, asked status of Initiative Petition on Stearns Rd. <br />Mr. West explained same. <br />Mr. tdilliam Backer, 4434 Williamstown Drive, Treasurer of Pine Ridge Homeowners <br />Assn., addressed Council in connection with use of fire lane in back of Gold <br />Circle Store stating fire lane is being used for storage of tractor trailers that <br />are full of Christmas merchandise; commented on temporary sign of Grant's Last <br />Stand; also referred to abandoned car in parking lot at Lucydale behind Sunoco <br />Station. <br />
