Advext:~e for-~fid~s for sanitary sewer repairs. <br />Funds have been appropriated and urge Council to pass legislation under emergency <br />provisions; <br />3) will have a leaf and grass pick-up at Park every Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to <br />3:00 p.m. behind Community House thru the leaf season. <br />Mrs. Saringer, Chairman Environmental Control Committee, reported Committee met <br />on October 9th. Service Dept. had requested Environmental Control Committee <br />approval of using the Barton Road site as a mulching area for leaves. Committee <br />unar..imously approved same. <br />Mr. Giesser, Chairman Intro Governmental Relations & Legislation Committee, <br />reported Legislation Committee met and discussed abortion regulations of cities <br />of Cleveland and Lakewood - number of regulations which have been furnished to <br />Law Director and legislation for same will be requested under new business. <br />Mr. Limpert, Chairman Finance Committee, reported Committee met and reviewed <br />following: I) budget for 1973 - legislation for transfer of appropriations on <br />agenda; <br />2) regarding installation of drainage tale in their area by residents of Maple <br />Ridge. Will request legislation for payment of labor; <br />3) sewer charge of resident on Forest Ridge - discovered leak in system and had <br />same repaired. Their bill for that one period of time had doub led over previous <br />bills due to leak. Committee felt refund of sewer charge for that period to be <br />in order. Legislation for same will requested. <br />Mr. West, Chairman Building, Zoning & Development Committee and Long Range <br />Planning Committee, reported B.Z.&D. Committee did not meet but the Planning <br />Commission approved final improvement plans for the extension of Country Club <br />Blvd. which B.Z.&D. Committee had previously reviewed and approved. <br />Mr. West moved that Council approve the final improvement plans of Country Club <br />Blvd. Extension. Motion seconded by Mr. Boehmer. Affirmative vote: Boehmer, <br />Giesser, Lampert, Prokasy, Saringer, Speedling, West. Motion carried. <br />Mr. Prokasy, Chairman Streets b Drainage Committee and Recreation, Public Parks <br />& Building Committee, reported following: 1) Streets & Drainage Committee meeting <br />scheduled for October 23rd was rescheduled to October 30th, 8:00 P.M., because <br />a counciLnan interested in this particular meeting was out of town on October 23rd. <br />2) Recreation, Public Parks & Building Committee has discussed a report issued <br />by the Recreation Commission to Gouncil concerning proposed Recreation Complex. <br />Mr. Prokasy referred to original presentation given by architects and accounting <br />firm and their recommendation that a complex of this type would be financially <br />feasible. Also detailed the final recommendations explaining each item. The <br />Recreation Commission has since met and discussed report and recommendations of <br />the Recreation Commission sent to President O'Neill are as follows: <br />" 1. The City purchase approximately 20 acres of land known as Lorain <br />260 Realty and Eastland Inc. property, which is north of Len <br />Derin Dodge Inc. This land should be acquixed as a separate <br />item from the proposed recreation center, however, it *.rould serve <br />as the most ideal location for it. <br />2. In the event the City does not see fit to purchase this site, which <br />is estimated to cost $300,000 the facility be located in North <br />Olmsted Park where adequate Land is available. <br />
