Council Minutes of 4-17-73 _2_ <br />Service Director Caster reported following: 1) This year City ha: p].antted <br />approximately 200 treces on following strdets: Michael, Aastiugs, 3orrwrset, <br />Bretton Ridge, Fark Ridge, Forest Ride, Cottoesoc~d, Randall, Driscoll, <br />Lampert, Chapel Hill, ttinttaa t'ark, Eletanor, Bvelyn and Rosita Lacue. Michael <br />and S'velyn were total plaettings - nest were replacements; <br />2) have bean chipping trillda and branchesat Sealtest ltldg. Chips are being <br />taken as fast as they are being ode. Within next fes- days will be forced <br />to Hove operations to the old Fume Oil Station next to Sealtest Bldg. <br />3} presently try to find a new - ec~nvenient location to have soil conditioner <br />available. Will notify public as sooa as sore information is available; <br />4) Zimpro processing of sludge at Trs~atmaat Fl~mt started last weak on a <br />start-up basis. Have anccx~tered spree mechanical failures Which are being <br />rectified. trertimate that by next week will have oxidized sludge available <br />Eros this process. Information i93i <br />cable t.v. was presented by a co~gcloran from Rocky River. Riecycling was dis- <br />cussed. Also heard 5ea~rtor Motel speak on Senate Joint Resolution #17 proposed <br />for the Novtsober ballot. Next meeting will be held at North Olmsted City Hali <br />on June 2, 2473, at 10:00 a.m. <br />Mr. Boehmer, Chairman Folic Safety, Realth & t~Jelfsre Committee, rieportied <br />this Committee met on April 5, 1973, with Fire Chief Bement salt Safety Director <br />Carnahan. Chief Bt3m~t requested additional ma~ower to properly man and <br />utilise the equipment at hire Station Aio. 2 Chief t r~srested nine new <br />men be appointed. This Committee approved the request. Chief Bem~tit also <br />r+e4uested that three maw be promoted to Lieutenant so that each shift woiuld <br />hasra as officer in charge at Statical No. 2. Committee also approved this <br />request. Would like to turn requests over to Finance Committee for approval. <br />Mr. Giessen, Chairman Intro Governmental Relations & Legislation Ccmmrttee, <br />reported Legislative Committee amt and recommends legislation on atg~da - <br />Ord. No. 73-41 which establishes a moratorium on applications for franchises <br />of cable t.v., and authorization to participate in a regional cmrmtssiim for <br />cable t.v. in sum of approecwately $1,100. This is a pradurt of the Mayors <br />Association conducted by Cleveland State University. Th:y are trtr3ng to gist <br />participation by a majority of cities within Cuyahoga Gounty for purpose of <br />a joint study. <br />
