Council Minutes of 4-17-73 <br />-3- <br />Mr. Lampert, Chairman Finance Committee, reported following: <br />I) On April 14th Comptitteee met with E®gineering, Building, Service Department <br />Was hater Treatment Plant Srvisors and cane to agreement. This cos~letas <br />all wage negotiations with the excaptr~n of the sus Lfsns and Sere#ce I~ertment. <br />Mr. Speedling, Chairman Tr atioa Cossgittae, is setting up a maet~-g <br />with Fairview Park. There are a+aoe afar to be discussed math than before <br />negotiations are started with bees Buss es+pl~reea. The Ser~rice DeFasat has <br />settled their dispute as to who their t to hajre negotiate for thy, sand <br />the Mayor will be setting up a msetia# with then; <br />2) regarding requests submitted toQi~t from Safety Gosaattee, the Finance <br />Committee will discuss sans. selsves requests will receive sang: answer out <br />of Finance Committee as did request of Police Dept. <br />Mr. 5peedling, Chairman Transportation Committee, reported following: <br />1) The Five County Transit Committee met on April 11, 1973 at City Hall. <br />Items up for discussion wsere: what type service could be provided if additional <br />equipment were made available th federal financing; what waald be the <br />best rail service if ext to OraMt~sr3 Palle, North 0]msted, sap Val ; <br />also what would be the benefit to our setvice area if it wets to become a part <br />of a regional or county system. A surveil sheet is now being prep-a-red that <br />will be distributed throughout our service area on a randaa sling basis to <br />get some feedback on com~itea involved as to what they feel we shmuld be <br />doing to improve service and m~rtioe public transportation accts attractive. The <br />next Committee Meeting of the 5 County Transit Study Group will be May 9, 1973, <br />8:00 P.M., City Hail. <br />Mr. West, Chairman Building, Zoning & Development Coaaaittee and Long Range <br />Planning Coaaaittee reported following: <br />1) B. 2 & D. Committee met several times since last Council Atesting. On <br />April 13, 1973, all members of the B. Z. ~ D. Committee, Bngineer and Building <br />Commissioner visited the Gold Circle construction area with representatives <br />of the contractor of Gold Circle, their landscaper and their Engineer, and <br />went over the site, particularly the buffer zone. Committee received recoaaait- <br />ment and reconfirmed understanding as to ~+ltat the buffer zo~te would look like. <br />The Engineer is writing a letter of confirmation to make sure there .isn't any <br />misunderstanding. The buffer acne has been held up, as well as the rest of <br />the landscaping due to wet Wither, but hope to get it completed fairly soon. <br />They have about two weeks of earth moving to be done and then they will be <br />ready to glant seed, install the six foot fence, plant various shrubs and trees <br />which they are going to add. Committee will inspect site later an sad will <br />also meet with the local residents as soon as project has been shaped up well <br />enough to go on an inspection with them; <br />2) Coaaaittee reviewed the B.G.M. Office Building parking and layout and <br />approved same. <br />Mr. West moved that Council approve Lhe parking layout for H.G.M. Office <br />Building, seconded by Mr. Boehmer. Affirmative vote: Boehmer, Giesssr, Liagsert, <br />Prokasy, Saringer, Speedling, West. Motion carried. <br />3) Mr. West reminded Council of the joint meeting of Planning Cc~:emisson and <br />Council this evening to go over specif~lly and briefly the Cv+~opreh+~sive <br />Plan so that everyone is up to date on share this stansba. The Leatd Use <br />Coaaaittee of Citizens Advisory ComnitG~s is not quite finished but have enough <br />information to take a look at. <br />
