Many
items were santianed, but Co~amittee feels the best place for the re eons
sharing money would be toward the Police Building, Reason being that this
is an area where there is no necessity for federal aid and this is o~ae of
the points spelled out for re~rernse sharing is that it cannot be used for
matching funds. City has federal funds working in our sewer area, federal
funds are being proposed far our recreational areas. Committee 3e of the
opinion that by putting this soneq into the Police Building where City would
normally have to use bonded indebtedness, it would alleviate that probles and
City could have bonded indebtedness avsila~rle to use as air pc-rti.oa for any
federal son+rl- we may receive for recreation prop~ca~, sewer repairs, etc.
The amount of coney to be received ua€sier Revenue Sharing is $141,000 each
year for a five year period.
Mr. Speedling, Chairman Transportation Coeaaittee, reminded that iiedaesdaq,
March 21, 1973 is the next meeting of the 5 County Transit Study Committee.
Mr. West, Chairman Building, Zoning & i)evelopsent Committee and Lang Ras-ge
Planning Committee, reported Building, Zoning & Development Committee set
and discussed following: l) after report in one of the newspapers that tyre
was debris and unsightly building materials around the Gold Circle store basing
built, Committee members and the Building Inspector inspected this site - eat
at different times.
