s <br />Council Minutes of 2-20-73 <br />-2- <br />Mr. Limpert, Chairman Finance Comai.ttee, reported Coaaeittae met on February <br />17, 1973. and finalized the budget. Had to take drastic steps is cuttiasg to <br />make balance of the budget, bat Cotn-ittee is now in position to negotiate <br />with various departts who have asks for an audience rcdng salaries, <br />etc. Committee has scheduled another Meting on February 2k, 197'3. <br />Mr. Speedling, Chairman Transportation Coeaittee, reported Ccrenttee mist on <br />February 13th, with Bins Liae Adai~tiatration, Mr. Jim Matthias of f'air~riew <br />Park Council and Service Direector Al Kf13er of Fairview Park, to dscetss ~+ <br />contract for service to the City of Fairview Park. Wili request legislation <br />for sass:; <br />2) On February 14th, the 5 County Transit Study held its second meeting with <br />Chairman David Goss, who reviewed ob~ectivas and goals of the Cossti.ttee. At <br />next meeting on March 21st there wi31 be a discussion and ra^viait of report <br />from Mayors and City Managers Assn. as to the areawide transportation groble~ <br />discussed in their report. <br />Mr. [lest, Chaisman Building, Zoning b Developsient Committee and Long age <br />Planning Cosssittee, reported the B.Z.&D. Conmaittee met on February 19, 15173, <br />and reviewed following items: <br />1) zettman Subdivision - Comsittee agreed with proposal of developer to change <br />the entrance roadway and wave it aver one property. Will ask for legislation <br />for same; <br />2) Dedication of S.D.C. Subdivision, between Decker and McRensie Rd. Aftex <br />reviewing with City Engiaseer and Building Commissioner Committee agreed to <br />r~uest legislation for dedication; <br />3) Coas~ittee reviewed proposal as submitted in a petition by residents of <br />North Park S~divisioa for resoniag frost their present B to none A &esid~tial. <br />Part of this subdivision is soned A already; however, the part not developed <br />as qet consisting of 52 lots is soned B. Coarnittee discussed with o~-er of <br />some of the properties the idea of their Daly building A type of residaace <br />and Committee received a$readent that subject to approval and receiving a <br />letter they waruld, in fact, limit theawelves to that. Coa~ittee has sat re- <br />ceived Letter as yet and legislation for this rezoning wi11 tre requested; <br />4) Cleary Uealty parking atzd layout who is going to use the old Robert Rall <br />building as a real estate office. <br />Mr. West moved Council approve the parking layout of the Cleary Realty, <br />seconded by Mr. Giesler. Affirsiative vote; Boehsler, Giesser, ~.is+gert, <br />Prokasy, Beringer, Speedling, [Jest. Motion carried. <br />5) Sandy Ridge #11 and the moving of the entrance over as had been rege~sted <br />by Planning Cosa-i.ssion. Co~si.ttee is in agreement and will request Iegisla- <br />tioa to approve new plat; <br />6) Great Northern Estates layout was discussed. It was reported they do have <br />the variance needed for their recreation area. <br />At this time Mr. West deferred to Mr. Prokasy, Chairs~an Str~te & Drainage <br />Committee. <br />
