Council Manutea of 2-6-73 _2_ <br />Mr. Karhan, City Engineer, reported the following: 1) On January 3O sad J~tuary <br />31, 1973, met with Ohio Dept. of Transportation with respect to the location <br />of Route 25Z. A11 items appeared favorable for North Olmsted ~til Mayor' R <br />of Westlake stated he could act accept any storm drainaEe and would net give <br />consent. Upon this the St:te Wit. of Transportation staged they wtatld drop <br />this item until they are assured of a consent ordinance from North Olmsted and <br />also Westlake. <br />Mrs. Beringer, Chairman 8nvir taI Control Committee, scheduled an Eaviron~ <br />mental Control Committer meeting on February 15, 1973, 8:00 P.M., City Hall, <br />and requested Mayor and Safety Director to attend. <br />Mr. Prokasy, member of the Enviranm~ental Control Committee, referred to <br />Res. No. 73-7 on agenda which urges the Council of the City of Clevslaad to <br />pass their ordinance Nos. 1710-7Z aa~l. 1730-72 in coat~ection with retmrles. <br />Mr. Prokasy stated he does mot feel Res. No. 73-7 should be plac+rd on first <br />reading tonight, and stated his reasons for opposing t~ proposed Cleveland <br />legislation in its present feria. Mr. Frokasy requested his repot be filed as <br />a minority report of the Environmental Control Coueaittee. Report on file in <br />Clerk's office. <br />Mr. Boehmex, Chairman Public Safety, Health 6 Welfare Committee reported this <br />Committee met on February 1st and discussed three street limits. Come~.tttee <br />approved following street lights: one on Mill Rtl., one on North Park Drive and <br />one on Ambaur Drive. Mr. Boehmer referred approval of street lights to Finance <br />Committee for their approval. <br />Mr. Giessen, Chairmen Intro Gavernmsantal Relations 6 Legislati~ Come~itt+~+e, <br />reported the Legislation Com~etittee met and discussed following: 1) requee~t <br />by Mr. Rarhan regarding collection of assessment for condominiums. This to <br />be taken user adviseneattt requiring further information from the Law Director, <br />a) External Housing Code is etil.]. being considered by Coeawlttee and legislation <br />will be requested regarding underground wiring for subdivisions of 10 or aeons <br />lots . <br />Mr. Lampert, Chairman Finance Committee, reported this Coameittee met an the <br />budget for 1973 and wall continue to work on this; 2) Finance Ccaoeittee is <br />in accord with request of Service Director far authorization to bid oa. saephalt, <br />slag, tires, cinders ~ salt. Wi11 also request authorization to bid for <br />pipe requested by Service Director; 3) Request by Traffic Officer raagardisg <br />a light at No. 2 Fire Station was reviewed by Committee. Thal light to be <br />identical to the light at Na. 1 Eire Station which would be in opezation in <br />event of emergency or entrance or exit of emergency vehciles. Will request <br />authorization for Safety Director to proceed in this direction. <br />Mr. Speedling, Chairman Transportaticm Committee, reported follczring: <br />1) Commeittee met ~ January 25th and discussed traffic signal at No. Z Fire <br />Statism; approved sa+ee and referred to Finance Co~i.ttee for approval; <br />2) Committee also agre~ecl to wire regarding the present status of the Highway <br />Trust Fund in Washington and this is in the process. <br />
