Council Minutes of 2-6-73 <br />-3- <br />Mr. West, Chairman Building, Zaaiag & Develotsment Ccr~tittee and Loug Range <br />Planning Goas~ittee, re~rted Building, Zoning & Developsent Ccmmettee meet on <br />February 1, 1973 and reviewed following items: <br />1) improve~ts proposed for Rotes Corder -reviewed pleas and parking more <br />than meets City's requiree~ts. <br />Mr. West a-oved that Council approve tae parking layout on the revision to <br />Roangs Corr. Mohan seconded by Mr. Boahmer. Affirmative vote: B~imrer, <br />Lampert, Prokasy, Beringer, Speedling, !Test. Abstained: Gisaaer{ mason <br />far abstaining is Mr. Rosh has been a client of Mr. Giesser's in other <br />matters.) Motion carried. <br />2) - Clinga®an Subdivision was reviewed sad legislation will be requested <br />approving for record purposes Daly. <br />3) Blossom Dauer Subdivision ~2 -Subdivision appears satisfactory. Kcx~ever, <br />Commmittee has asked City Engineer to arrange for a right of nay and t <br />to be granted to the Cite ao Chat the vacant property to the south where put <br />into subdivision there will be access to ft. Will rc~uest legislation to <br />approve far record purpvsea oa~ly; <br />4) Lawson Stare at corner of Christman Dr. and Lorain Rd. Bretton Ridge <br />Officers had queatfons regarding the layout. 7'he Civic Assn. has written <br />to Lawsona asking for semre c~eaages, particularly on the aces road. It <br />was explained to the BlaEttat Ridge Officers that Council and PLrreaing Coamission <br />have already approved this, bat the Ce~miaittee would be happy to discuss it <br />further with them Whenever thit}- receive reply from Lawson; <br />5) Committee met with Officers of Forth Park Bstates wha had a proposal for <br />reaoning part of the subdivisicm. Coammeats taken under advisewent and next <br />move is up to Officers of North Park Estates; <br />6) Mobil Car Wash at corner of C$nterbury Rd. and Lorain Rd. Reviewed layout <br />for parking and same is in accard~ce with City's ordinance. <br />Mr. West moved Council approve the parking layout of Mobil Car Wash at Canterbury <br />Rd. and Lorain Rd. Mohan seconded by Mr. Giesler. Affirmative vote: Boehser, <br />Giesler, Lampert, Prokaey, Beringer, Speedling, West, Motion carried. <br />7) Barclay Square Developmecet was brought up for discussion by request from <br />member of Plarnsiag Commi.aaian. After further discussion with Law Ilirector <br />and Gity Engi~er Mr. West sent fallowing letter to Mr. Donald Powers, Attorney: <br />"As Chairman of the B.Z. & D. Co~t.ttee of North Olmsted City Council, <br />I must inform you that based on the reca~endations of our City Emgieieer <br />and sanitary sewer consultants, the sanitary sewers in the area of your <br />proposed project cannot accept any additional sewas-e at this tarns. 'i'bis <br />area has a history o€ flooding and we are now in the process of executing <br />a program house to house and street to street to correct this utedesrable <br />situation. Therefore, with this in mind we cannot rec your entering <br />our system to further endanger the health, Welfare and safety of our <br />residents until such time as the sanitary sewers can ac to the <br />additional sewage. T regret that I must take this stand but under the <br />circumstances there is no other alternative." <br />8)Buckeye Lanes cutting of curb into Halter Rd. to mice an additional ae+c~urs <br />far parking lot.
