Council Minutes of 2-6-73 _,4.. <br />Caaimittee would Lute is that the entrance or access to the parking tat which <br />is closest to Walter Rd. but located on Lorain Rd. be limited to an entrance <br />only. <br />Mr. West moved Council approve the access of Buckeye Lanes to Walter Rd. with <br />provision that the access on Lorain Rd. closest to tJalter Rd. be limited to <br />entrance only. Marion seconded by Mr. Boetsaer. <br />Mr, Prokasy stated he is totally in favor of proposal to improve traffic <br />situation. Would personally prefer the second entrance referred to closest <br />to Walter R:d. and Lorain Itd. be closed entirely, but will vote for the oration <br />on floor. <br />ImLL CALL ON MOTION: Affirmative vote: Boeh:aer, Giessen, Limpert, Prokasy, <br />SarinQer, 5peedling, taest. Motion carried. <br />9) Great Northern Estates which is a revised proposal as presented. Coaarittee <br />agreed to hold same in abeyance until action on request for a variance be <br />taken by the Zonin~q Board of Appeals. <br />Mr. Prokasy, Chairman Streets !4 Drainage Coaaeittee and Recreation, Public Parks <br />6 Building Committee reported Streets & Drainage Coamittee met on January 18, <br />1973, and Would like to direct the Engineer to prepare plaamt end specifications <br />for a ditch relocation on Burns Rd. coam~c+nly known as the Glemding area. <br />Under New Business will request legislation to advertise for bids and authorize <br />Mayor to enter into a contract for such relocation; <br />2) Would also like to direct the 8tcgineer to prepare pleas a~ specifications <br />for sodding acid side~lks of 3tonepbrook area front result of recent sanitary <br />sewer repairs in that area, and will request legislation to advertise far <br />bids and authorize the Mayor to enter into a contract for this ~rark oa Stoneybrook. <br />3) Mr. Prokasy asked Service Director Caster if the installation of nee stotw <br />sewer line in Gessnar Rd. area is completed. Mr. Caster stated the nett line has <br />been completed. There is soave incidental work such as building up atsnholes and <br />regrading and seeding to be done. <br />4) Mr. Prakasy asked Service Director status of Dawes Drive. Mr. Caster stated <br />the Dawn Drive pipe is part of the material that will be advertised for bid. <br />Some of the material is on hand. <br />Mr. Prokasy gave following report as Member of Recreation Comsittee: Recreation <br />Commission has been quite active in investigating msy eraposals and some material <br />in very brief forest has been sent to Council. Recreation Cosutiseion has studied <br />possibility of application for a federal grant for i:stsr t of existing <br />recreational sites and additional recreation land throu$~tout the City. If it <br />is feasible to go ahead this irould mean taking many existing leads that City Dons <br />and are not in usable park condition and at least clearing, grading ae~l seed~g, <br />and acquiring other land Headed to fill out the recreation program. Re~ereation <br />Comtttission is also investigating possibility and fin~acial feasibility of an <br />indoor s~+rimming pool and an indoor ice rank to be built as a cashier facility. <br />Expect to have recoamtendation forthcoadng from the Recreation Coarsission in <br />near future. <br />Letters, C.oemnuiications: Clerk read letter from T. 3. Quayle, of East Ohio Gas <br />Coae~+any, advising that D4r. Albetat Creter has been designated representative of <br />East Ohio Gas Co. to periodically at~eq~d Council meetings and contact Clerk ab+tuzt <br />matters of interest to Eaat 4hia <br /> <br />
