. , <br />Council Minutes of 12-3-74 -7- <br />Under New Business: <br />Mrs. Beringer referred to Res. No. 74-163 which was introduced and referred <br />back to Bnvi.ronmental Committee: Rnaws the Engineer has crorked hard to <br />solve this problem and is very confident of this new burner. Howevex, thinks <br />the Committee should discuss it more fully. Mrs. Beringer belisses the Zimpro <br />people should be responsible for seeing that this problem is resolved; and thinks <br />before we take this step - maybe we should go into another step - perhaps <br />hiring an outside engineering firm to take a look at the plant and make a complete <br />study of the situation to sde what receamoendations theq came up with. Have been <br />working with the same engineenf~tg firm for 1S gears and a lot of problems have <br />been unsolved. Feels it is im~rortant Committee discuss this before we go into <br />this expense. Presideat O'Neill c ted that if we are going into a study with <br />an engineering firm that specialises in this sort of thing we will spend as much <br />if not more than the anticipated expiture submitted by Mr. Childs in what he <br />suggests is a possible solution. Mr. Giessen stated one of the re~eons it was <br />referred back to Committee was so that it would be studied and re ndations. <br />With respect to hiring out an outside cansultas~t this has b®ea dac~a~ssael with <br />the Service Dept., the Mayor and the Treatment Plant and he thanks there might be <br />future pleas with respect to this so that it ire not out of the realm of possibility <br />in conjuction with the nerve burner also. <br />Mr. Wilamosky requested Law Director Gareau to attend the Legislation Committee <br />Meeting on December 10th if at all possible. <br />Mr. West moved to excuse absence of Ca~ciiwoman Sharpe, seconded by Mr. Giessex. <br />Affirmative vote: Giessen, Coggin, Lampert, Beringer, West, Wilamosky.
