Council Minutes of 10-15-74 -3- <br />6) scheduled a B.Z.6D. Committee Meeting on October 24, 1974, 7:30 P.M., City Hall. <br />Mr. Lippert, Chairman Finance Cossd,ttee, reported Cvssfitteee net on October 8, <br />1974, and reviewed following: 1) ~tsviewsd bids of Roc Comgle:c; <br />2) Manners sewer rate for awrcharge: Safety Director was given figures and <br />he is working with sage a~ will rea~aort further on this at a later data; <br />3) new hospitalization plan bargai~rsd far with ss~ployees -are informtied that <br />October'22, 1974 will be moving into the new type plan; <br />4) Request by Police Department in regard to false arrest. in process of gathering <br />more information to see if it would be feasible to move into a progr~tr for Police <br />as we11 as Firemen because of the fact that ous• Fl+raien are taking mat of a <br />risk. in handling people oa ssr _ cases. It is felt that possibly Mresmen should <br />be taken into consideration as well as the Police; <br />5) Transportation for the Eldesly. The Mayor, Mr. Miner and Mr. L#w~ert went to <br />the County and discussed this. Mr. Lippert sill discuss this further with Mr. <br />Winn of the County and will report back to Council when informeetioR is received; <br />6) proposed mdalage to be put on ballot for Safety Forces. Aa~ne sutha-ri~d the <br />Mayor to contact Mr. Peelle to gather #acts and ligures to present to public so <br />they will understand what this particular issue is about; <br />7) Traffic Light at Butternut School: At present time there axu not funds avail- <br />able for putting a traffic 1#ght in that area. It was also pointed out they are <br />still considering the possibility of gutting this light at Fite i Butternut thinking <br />that possibly this would serve more of a purpose for sveryone concerned rather than <br />dust at the school drive crossing; <br />8) Permit Fees for Engineering Degarts~ent were reviewed and legislation will be <br />requested to update those fees; <br />9) Sick Lelave upon RetiramNrnt - it wss agreed that we would authorize or suggest <br />that the Mayor set in motion that 2 daps sick leaves would be given upon retiremient; <br />10) Appropriations r budget was rewie~ered again and will has legislation for <br />transferring of funds within de~-+srtesnts to cover various items; <br />11) authorized bids for two trunks for itastewater Treatmaat Plant facilltq. <br />Mr. Wilaw~osky, Chairman Intro Goverm~tal Rezlationa & Legislation Comstttem, <br />reported following: 1) Coa~ittee rawiewad request by the Mayor for Council approval <br />of the appointmmnt of Mr. Fronk O'E>e11 to the Adviso3ry Board of D~apartm~snt of <br />Hupan Resources and Co~:tttee recamriends appro~ral of this appointment with term <br />ending 12/32/76. <br />Mr. Wilamosky roved that Cocatcil approve the appointment of Mr. Frank O'Dell to <br />the: Advisory Board of Depart~t of 8uman Resources, tare ending IZ/31176, seconded <br />by Mr. Coggin. Affirmative vote: Giessar, Go:ggin, Lippert, Beringer, Sharpe, <br />West, Wilgposky. Motion carried. <br />2) Committee reviewed request by Mayor for appointment of Mr. John Babette to <br />serve on Planning Commission to replace Mr. Bresszr ~+ho is resigning Octcd-er l5, <br />1974. Committee recanspmds approval of the agpointpsnt of Mr. Roberts to the <br />Planning Commission to fill ~~pirsd term of Mr. Brewer -term ending 12/31174. <br />This recoaame~ndation is coat t upon Mr. Roberts' resignation from the Ming <br />ward of Appeals - he is presently serving as a Membex of that Board. <br />Mr. Wilamosky moved that Council approve the appointment of Mr. John Roberts <br />to the Planning Commission continent upon his resignation from the Zoning Board <br />of Appeals, seconded by Mr. Goggin.
