Council Minutes of 9-3-74 -10- <br />Under New Business: <br />Mrs. 3aringer stated two people - Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Lusak on Beech Lane - <br />would like to go on record on the folloa-ing: Their neighbor had received <br />a load of sludge and the odor was so bad that they had to call the gaalth Dept. <br />They want to know if the City is going to give this sludge - could some rules be <br />set before giving it out; such as having the people plow it under or put sows <br />kind of odor control on it. This would avoid unnecessary problems. Discussion <br />continued. Service Director Caster stated soapthing can be worked out. <br />Mr. Wilamosky stated as Chairtaa:a of the Legislation Co~ittae, he has received <br />a communication from Public Woxks Cos~issioner Weldon concerting the coaaercial <br />pick-up of solid waste in the City. 1t is Mr. Wilamossky's opita~ics3 that the <br />commmication should be referred to the 8,nvirotm~tal Cottrol Committee but the <br />Legislation Committee will look into the matter should President O'peill decide. <br />President O'Nei11 stated both Cosmdttees work this matter aut. <br />Mrs. Beringer read letter frog Donald DsChant, 23515 Alexander Rd., opposing <br />a three million dollar plus recreation facility stating reasons therefor. <br />Mr. West moved for ad~ouras~snt, seconded by Mr. Giesaer. Affirmative vote: <br />Giesser, Goggin, Limpert, Sarin~r, Sharpe, West, Wilaaosky.
