<br />Mrs. Sariager, Chairman 8nvironmeatal Control Comm3.ttee and Long age Piaeming
<br />Committee, reported follaaring: 1) Ltmg age Plam:ing Coamittee had a tasatseg on
<br />June 3, 1974, City Hall. Coaraiatee s+rsst out letters to Isnd o~nduers in Industrial
<br />Park requesting their presence at this meeting to discuss develo~+eent of the
<br />Industrial Park. There were 7Q letters sit out; lfl of which w+ax~tc returned,
<br />and 40 people in attendance which Crtsm~dttee felt was a successful tuna out.
<br />Also in attendance were the Mayor, Se~raice Director, Councilsen Lia~ert and
<br />Wilsmasky. There was good constructive conversation - Coms~Lttee wanted to icncnr
<br />what their feelings were. Will confines to study things that were discussed
<br />and informed the land awners they would be hearing Eros Coms3.ttee again;
<br />2) scheduled a Long Rax-ge Playing Committee meeting on June 2fl, 1974, 7:30 P.M.,
<br />City Hall.
<br />Mr. Goggin, Chairman Streets & Drainage Committee, scheduled a Streets & Drainage
<br />Comadttee meeting on Juae lfl, 1974, 8:30 P.M., City Hall.
<br />Mr. Giesser, Chairman Building, Zoning & Development Cosiei.ttee sad B,ecreation,
<br />Public Parks & Building Caesittes, reported B. 2. & D. Cosad.ttee met I~ty 23,
<br />1974, and discussed and revieMed following: 1) Red Lobster, Inc. -soma items
<br />which are included are enclosed retention basin covered; 6 ft. high redwood
<br />slatted fence; lighting must be shielded to be retained within the property,
<br />and a rubbish area to be enclosed with masanry brick. Coaieeittee recvarr~ended
<br />approval of development and parking subject to aforementioned conditions.
<br />Mr. Giesser moved that Council approve Hed Lobster, Inc and parkin layout,
<br />subject to above mentioned conditions, seconded by Mr. Goggle. Affirmative
<br />vote: Giesser, Goggia, Limpert, Beringer, Sharpe, West, Wilasosky. Motion
<br />carried.
<br />2) Tuffy Service Center, Inc., located at 28256 Lorain Rd. Complimented residents
<br />and developer because there were a lot of problems created by this individual
<br />parcel. It developed a 2arwauit o^ one development before this. Residents and
<br />developer have gotten together since then and have worked out separate agreements
<br />with the developer as to buffer strips, fence, etc. Some of the follogring itemm
<br />were approved: a retention of 5 1/2 in. on property in parking area; 8 ft. high
<br />rough cedar fence in back of the parcel; 8 ft. buffer strip between fence and
<br />residential property except on Loeffen property where it varies sli~tly. Comeittee
<br />would like to make approval subject to collateral agreements between developer
<br />and residents.
<br />Mr. Giesser moved that Toffy Service Center, Inc. develop~t and parkin layout
<br />be approved subject to the collateral agreeswents betwe+rn develops seed residents
<br />and aforementioned items. Motion seconded by Mr. Goggle. Affirsa'Ci.ve vote:

<br />3) additional parking at Ohliger Drug Store sad Medical Building. Discuassion
<br />in regard to fencing: there was agreement that a 6 ft. fence along the Jahason
<br />property would be installed at a point 5b ft. back from Moot Road; slats in-
<br />stalled at side of Mr. Johnson's property; a 4 ft fence would be installed to
<br />extend all the way along the back of his property and exte~ eastward in back
<br />of the medical building property and extend all the way to Columbia Rd. or
