Council Minutes of 6-4-74 -4- <br />2) Committee approved Mayor's requese -tar--a_L4.G._pwer..lu~r--iacraesa to be added <br />to Operator's rate while operator is working with Zimpro machine. Legislation <br />will be requested; <br />3) re letter received from Mayor pertaining to Worksmns Compe~ation r~uesting <br />change in Res. No. 70-80 and Committee recoas~ends approval. Legislation will be <br />requested; <br />4) re - request pertaining to W.E.B. - an additional $5,000. is needed to carry <br />thru the year. It is felt this program should be continued and request for transfer <br />of appropriations to cover this amc-unt will be requested; <br />S) reviewed r~^quest from Streets & Drainage Committee pertaining to City's portion <br />for sidewalks amounting to $5,000 in this year's progr~tt. Cos~f.ttee a~-proved same <br />and legislation will be requested. <br />Mr. nest, Chairman Transportation Cnmsnittee, reported the Transportation Committee <br />will have its next meeting an June ~,, 1474, 7:30 P.M., City Hall. <br />President O'Neill stated before meeting is opened to general public would like <br />to recognise house guest of Mr. and Mrs. John Cestaric - Father Lao J. holey, <br />Professor of Philosophy at Catholic tTniversity of America, Washingtexi, D.C. <br />Council recognized Father I~'oley. <br />People addressing Council: <br />Mr. R. Hiller, owner of Sunoco Station, 24584 Lorain Rd., addressed Council <br />pertaining to Ord. No. 74-73 - "display of gasoline prices" stating reasons <br />whq he is against proposed legislat.':•n. Discussion ensued. <br />Mr. John Procaccini, Service Statio-~~ dealer in City, addressed Council pertaining <br />to proposed legislation - "d:i.splaq ci gasoline prices" stating reasons why he is <br />against legislation. Discn3sion ensued. <br />Mr. Otto Jirecek, Sunoco Dealer, Lc~:~+.in & Clague Rd., addressing Council pertaining <br />to proposed legislation on d~'.splay of gasoline prices, stating reasons shy he is <br />against same. <br />Mr. Tony Procaccini, Sohio Station, Lorain & Stearns Rd., addressing Council <br />regarding proposed legislation on display of gasoline prices, stating reasons <br />why he is against same. <br />Mr. Bill Bruton, 4577 Kew Drive, addressed Council pertaining to proposed legislation <br />on display of gasoline prices stating reasons why he feels prices should not be <br />posted. <br />Mr. Tom Sprague, addressed Council pertaining to proposed legislation on display of <br />peso Line prices, stating reasons why he is against same. <br />Mary Slams, 4512 Oak Circle, addressed Council pertaining to the posting of gasoline <br />prices and posting whether or not pumps are open, etc. <br />Mr. Dick Spaeth, Tudor Drive, addressed Council pertaing to proposed legislation on <br />display of gasoline prices - would like to see them posted. <br />Mr. John Fairfield, 5059 Devon Drive, addressed Council pertaining to proposed <br />legislation on display of gasoline prices. Feels City has a right to ask that <br />prices be posted. <br />
