Council Minutes of 5-8-74 <br />-5- <br />People addressing Council: <br />Mr. Bill Bruton, 4577 Rew Drive, addressed Council on project called "Paint a <br />Flug for America' in connection with fire hydrants in coMwst~ration of biceotennial <br />in 1976. President O'Neill referred him to ~ Council who bas assumed <br />responsibility of taking on entire project of bicentennial program. <br />Mary Slams, Oak Circle, addressed Council regarding painting of fire plugs in <br />front of houses. <br />Mr. Delmar Ernest, 30106 Lorain Rd., addressed Council regarding ordinance as <br />Department of Human Resources. <br />Mr. Richard Davies, 4322 Martin Drive, addressed Council and Ad~odaistration on <br />Ordinance No. 74-58 whiff deal with use of the Comunity Cabin smd strongly <br />objects to thin ordinance - feels it is class distinction. Lengthy discussion <br />ensued.. Mrs. ~harp^ went oa record stating she sees no reason why sgy individual <br />or any organization in North Olmsted ca~mnot use the cabin as long as they live <br />in North Olmsted. <br />Mr. Zettler, Olmsted Township, addressed Council oa use of Community Cabin, <br />laws, etc. <br />Helen Purper, Dover Center Rd., addressed Council regarding antique show held <br />at Community Cabin every other !'ridgy night - enjoyed same. <br />Rita Limpert, Maple Ridge Ftd., addressed Council regarding the rental of the <br />Cabin. <br />Mr. Joseph Coticchia, 434fl Brendan Lane, addressed Council regarding legislation <br />on agenda regarding installation of a stop sign at Brendan Lame & Reed Drive and <br />requested Council approval based on safety and right of way of pedestrians and <br />particularly school children. President O'Neill is referring legislation to <br />Transportation Gommittee as it had not been discussed in that Coserittee. Mr. <br />Coticchia to be invited to Committee Meeting whey Committee receives report of <br />Safety Director. <br />Marie McLaughlin, 6993 Barton Road, addressed Council regarding her views on <br />proposed legislation dealing with use of Community Cabin. Also discussed <br />progress in regard to I b80 on Barton Rd. <br />Mr. Bill Bruton, Rew Drive, addressed Council regarding demand for Cabin use; <br />resolution on Brookpark Extension. <br />Mr. Lee Beran, 4206 Brendan Lane, addressed Council in support of Ord. No. 74-6b <br />but is not sure that will take care of whole problem on Brendan which saa~ae to be <br />a drag strip. Mr. West explained he has asked Safety Director to look into rusile <br />strips or bumper strip mounds is the roadway. <br />Mrs. Saringer commented on Ord. No. 74-66 amending the Traffic Control Map. At <br />Safety Meeting the Law Director was consulted and it is his opini~aa that stop <br />signs can be legally placed there. Policy decision rests with Council. <br />LEGISLATION: <br />Ordinance No. 74-27 introduced by Mr. Glasser area given its third reading. <br />An Ordinance providing for the amendment of the Zone Map of the City of North Olmsted, <br />
