Council Minutes of 3-19-74 _7_ <br />Mr. Limpert commented this is one of the reasons why he voted against allowing, <br />Gold Circle to fence in an area for a garden center. He feels if Gold Circle <br />will not comply with City's wishes, there is no reason why they should be allayed <br />variance for a fenced in area. <br />Mr. West stated new controllers are being installed on Lorain Rd. There will <br />be some disruption in the normal way traffic lights are working until all of <br />the controllers are installed. <br />Mr. Wilamosky asked status of condemned structure on Stearns Rd. Mrs. Sharpe <br />stated site is requesting legislation for same under neca business. <br />Under New Business: <br />Mrs. Sharpe requested legislation for the demolition of frame dwelling and <br />detached garage on p.p. #235-24-8 at 5622 Canterbury Rd.; also for demolition <br />of frame dwelling and detached garage on p.p. #234-22-35 located at 6426 Stearns <br />Rd. <br />Mr. Giesser requested Safety Committee to check into status of house an <br />Canterbury Rd. off of Butternut - corner house that is partially demolished and <br />demolition has stopped. <br />Mr. Giesser scheduled a Recreation, Public Park & Building Committee meeting <br />on April 2, 1974, 7:00 P.*~4., City Hall; and a Building, Zoning & Development <br />Committee meeting on April 4, 1974, 7:30 P.M., City Hall. <br />P~irs. Saringer announced she is initiating a Town Hall Meeting for Ward 2 and <br />first meeting will be held on March 27, 1974, 8:00 P.M., at St. Brendan's Church <br />Ha11. <br />President O'Neill requested Service Director Caster to have the P.A. System checked. <br />Mr. Wilamosky addressed Council on a point of personal privilege. Some residents <br />in Ward 3 have called Mr. Wilamosky expressing concern over a theory expressed <br />that Democratic Members of Council are opposed to the Recreational Complex. Mr. <br />Wilamosky, speaking for aii Democratic Members on Council, is looking forward to <br />the Complex. The concern is with economics and getting the best center that can <br />be afforded for the Community. Mr. Wilamasky stated he is looking forward to <br />the Complex and he and his family will utilize same. Theory expressed is untrue. <br />Mrs. Saringer commented she is in favor of the Recreation Complex; does not want <br />to see taxes having to be raised; hopes Complex turns out to be a reality without <br />any additional burden on taxpayers. <br />Mr. West requested legislation to revise Ord. Nos. 73-75 and 73-76 setting forth <br />compensation for employees of the Bus Line. <br />Mr. Limpert asked Service Director Caster status as to Wellesley Road condition. <br />Mr. Caster stated another repair has been tried and will wait to see how this <br />holds up. <br />rir. Limpert stated there is a Finance Committee meeting on March 21st, 8:00 P.M., <br />City Hall. <br />
