Council Minutes of 12-16-75 -S- <br />Discussion ensued. It was explained that usually the State asks for figures <br />and we will have same. Mrs. Bsriagar referred to the truck s~a-s on T~lter Rd. <br />Mr. West said the signs should have bean taken deans a long time ate. Mrs. <br />Beringer stated she did have a rsgtust for "no parking" oa Sumrarla~l Avenue. <br />This request will be taken up. <br />Mr. Coggin asked Mr, West about the request for no right turn on red at corner <br />of Columbia and Lorain Rd. Mr. West stated the Cotrrttee is rssosan~diag against <br />that based on the report snbrittsd to tba Carittet by the Safety D~artment that <br />with the school guard there seed based on their traffic survey that there was no <br />need for elimination of a right turn at C®lusibia and Lorain &1s. <br />LEGISLATION: <br />Resolution No. 75-238 introduced by Mr. Lippert was given its third raadisg. <br />A Resolution authorizing the Service Director to advertise for bids for recapping <br />of tires for the automotive equipaaraaret of the City, and authorising the mayor to <br />contract for same. Mr. Li~sipert >taovved for adoption, sscoadsd by MYS. Sfiarpe. <br />Affirmative vote: Beaty, Go;gin, Lippert, Baring, Sharpe, Ndast, Wilamosky. <br />Motion carried. Res. 110. 75-23~ adopted. <br />Resolution No. 75-239 introduced by Mr. Lampert was giwan its third reading. <br />A Resolution authorising the Service Director to advertise for bids for tires <br />and tubes for use by tau City, and stuth~-risag the Mayor to contract for ears. <br />Mr. Lampert moved for adoption, seconded by Mrs. Sharpe. Affirmative voter <br />Beaty, Coggin, Lampert, Beringer, Sharpe, West, Walamosky. Motion carried. <br />Res. No. 75-239 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 75-240 introduced by Mayor Christman was given its third reading. <br />An Ordinance authorising the Mayor to enter into a Cooperation A$,aceet with <br />the Cuyahoga County Board of C~.tssaners for the utilization of fuaamds mde <br />available by the Housing and C-~.ty Dartrelopaaraat Act of 197#, sad declaring <br />an ea+ergency, as sanded. 1~tr. LitApert moved for adoption, seconded by Macs. <br />Beringer. Affirmative vote: peaty, Ga#gin, Lampert, Beringer, Sharpe, West, <br />Wilsmosky. Motion carried. Ord. lqo. 75-240 adapted. <br />Resolution No. 75-242 introduced by Mr. Loggia was given its third reading. <br />A Resolution accepting for recording purposes only the Helen S. Bro~ara <br />Subdivision in the City of 2~oacth 0laarsted. Mr. Loggia moved for adoption, <br />seconded by Mrs. Beringer. Affrtauttive vote: Beaty, Coggin, Lampert, Beringer, <br />Sharpe, West, Wilamosky. Motion carried. Res. No. 75-242 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 75-245 introduced by Mr. Lippert was given its second ruing. <br />An ordinance transferring appropriatic~s for current expenses sued other <br />expenditures for the City of forth Olwated, ohio for the year ending Dscaa~ber <br />31, 1975. Mr. Li>aapert stated this ordiae is far the year ending 1975• Mr. <br />Lippert moved far suspension of rule requiring three separate readings, seconded <br />by Mr. West. Mr. Wil~awsky asked if there is an pmadiate need for this <br />additional $10,000 to City Insuacaamce 8unc1 aaa-d is this primarily for x1.1 types <br />of insurance and not just one. Piaasaaoe Director Gerlach stated the City's <br />insurance expense increased quite a bit this year -bought insurance to protect <br />the Police and also the Public Offie,s3.s seed also the City's package insurance <br />increased, so that it is really $20,E~00 over last year and this money is needed <br />to pay the insurnace copy for the premiums that are due in 1475. <br />~;~ <br />~~,~~ <br />
