Council Minutes of 4-1-75 _2_ <br />Mrs. Saringer, Chairman P~ivironmental Control Con~ittee and Long Range Planning <br />Commfttee, reported fol].oai~: I) should have some word back on analysis of soil <br />of the tree that was suspected of poisoning by end of this wsek; <br />2) scheduled an Environtal Control Cesamittee meeting on April 3, 1975, $:Qt} F.M., <br />City Hail, and requested Clerk to ask Building Com~essioner to be in attendance. <br />Mr. Coggin, Chairman Streets & Drainage Committee, reported Committee met on <br />March 25, 1975. In addition to C+~r#.ttse in attce, the Law Director, Service <br />Director and Public Works Co+aa~se' r mere also present. First it<~ discussed <br />was the Water Service Agr t with the City of Cleveland. Mr. bier Ralbrunner, <br />an Attorney for the City of Clewelaad, and Mr. R+t~nald Rlimko from the Cleveland <br />Division of Water were at mssting at C4limittee'a invitation, and we discussed <br />many areas of the afire t. Coamitt.+te will continue to study this item; <br />2) Mrs. Saringer was present to revi+~ a piece of legislation regarding utility <br />hearings in Washington. It was the majority of tine Comm3.ttee's opinion that with <br />modifications, Committee have no objections. Mr. Coggin stated the changes have <br />been made and legislation is on agenda for first reading. <br />Mr. Giesaer, Chairman Building, Zoning & Development Committee and Recreation, <br />Public Parks & Euildings, reportsd the 8.2.&D. Cas~ei.ttee met on March 25, 1975, <br />and reviewed following: 1) yass~a ~mre Bakery - they are remodeling the old Sohio <br />Gas Station at corner of Whitethorn b Lorain Rd. Committee recommends approval. <br />Mr. Giesaer moved to approve the parking of Parma Noma Bakery subject to the <br />remodeling of the building as peeac the drawing submitted with rough sawn csdar <br />on the front and Lorain Rd. sides of the building. Motion seconded by lac. Coggin. <br />Mr. Wilamosky asked if in addition to the cedar siding is there any brick involved. <br />Mr. Giesaer thinks there is brick in front of the building as per drawing. <br />Roll Call on Motion: Affirmative vote: Giesaer, Coggin, Limpert, Saringer, Sharpe, <br />Wilamosky. Motion carried. <br />2) Committee reviewed Trotwood Subdivision property located at Clague & A#astick Rds. <br />It is a subdivision of 8 - 9 residential. sites and also the division of othe~c <br />parcel for multiple family - this is on agend+e for first reading; <br />3) Azaela Rd. property owned by City: discussed whether or not to authorize the <br />sale and legislation is on this ev~eniag for that also; <br />4) Further discussed Barton iJoods Subdivision No. 2, which is subdividing the land <br />three parcels into one, and legislation for same is on agenda; <br />5) as Law Director Gareau has stated -the Comprehensive Plan is completely typed <br />out and in Council's hands for review. There was a mistake in respect to the Zone <br />Map and this is going to be submitted to be drawn up by a competent engineer so <br />that it is accurate and in full detail which will take anywhere from ane to two <br />months. Sincerely regret to state the Comprehensive Plan will not be on reading <br />until the Map is completely revised and per scale; <br />6) at this time would like to bring up for discussion and a motion - a potential <br />under the Community Development Act for senior citizens hcusing under Section 8. <br />Mr. Giesaer moved that Council as a Whole is in favor of privately owned federally <br />subsidised senior citizen housing;- so that this can be forwarded to CIA and when <br />authorization comes out for senior ctisaa housing that North Olmsted can be <br />considered.
