Council Minutes of 3-18-75 <br />Under New Business <br />Mrs. Sharpe scheduled a Public Safety, <br />April 2, 1975, $:00 P.M., City Hall. <br />-10- <br />Health & Welfare Cammi.ttee Meting on <br />Mr. Wila~awsky referred to telephone call he received. frs~ Safety t~-airoan of <br />Spruce School PTA expressing soon t~nce~n with a traffic situation in that <br />area in Park Ridge.Subdivision. mac. W4aapwsky has disused this with the <br />Safety Director ::aho is currestiy having the Traffic Departat look into it; <br />would like to ask that the Transportatia- Cc~mi.ttes look into saes as ill as <br />the Traffic Dept. to coos up with a solution to resolve the pr~ew. There is <br />a crosswalk in the area that the children Erna Spnece School use on a regular <br />basis. There is definite concern d~ere -tyre is presee:tly no school. crossing <br />guards; no•.stop sign and Chairma~a sad Mr. Wila~mosky are concerned. Mr. West <br />will to&e item into Transportation Co~asittee. <br />Mr. Lippert discussed with Law Director Gateau feasibility of Co~tcil writing <br />a letter to judicial people pertsit-ing to penalties end enforcerpr~ts that ere <br />handed down by judges expressing Canmcil c~acern because off ek received <br />from citizens of City. Law Director Gateau gave his views. Discussion continued. <br />President Pro Teo 5aringer moved to excuse absence of President O'Neill who due <br />to an eoer~eecy had to leave. t3atioa seconded by Mr. blast. Affirmative vats: <br />Giessen, Coggin, Litapert, Sariager, Sharpe, West, tailamosky. Nation carried. <br />Mr. West coved for adjourttoent, ~aeoeded by Mr. Giessen. Affirmative votes <br />Giessen, Coggin, Limpert, Beringer, Sharpe, hest, Wilam~ky.
