Council Minutes of 3-18-75 -5- <br />Clerk read letter from Attorney Jahn Thomay who has been retained by Ms. David <br />Margolies of Jamestown Develo~nt concerning legality of proposed Ord. Na. <br />75-25. Mr. Coggin asked Lew Director Gareau to coswent on coaeeunication regarding <br />legality and constitutionality. Law Director Gansu stated he thinks he has made <br />his position clear previous to this particular time; and he doss not find the same <br />constitutional proficiencies that Mx. Th~say finds in that as tar as he is concerned <br />if this legislation is adopted as Director of Law he will handle the litigation and <br />defend the City on that score. <br />People addressing Council: <br />Mr. John Schneider, Dover Center Rd., addressed Council regarding reducing the <br />speed limit on Brookpark Rd.; also better ligittis-g on Brookpark Rd. Discussion <br />ensued. President Pro Tem Beringer xec Safety Cossaitt~a to take lighting <br />of Brookpark Rd. into Comatttee. Legislation regarding speed limit on Brookpark <br />Rd. on agenda was discussed. <br />Mr. David Margolies, Jamestown Development, addressed Council pertaining to <br />Ord, Ho. 75-25 giving his views on same. <br />Mr. George Shumay, 5820 Barton Rd., addressed Council at length in connection <br />with the recreational area to be developed behind his hone; the placaswnt of <br />the soccer field; fence, etc. Subject was discussed by Messrs. Giesler, Wilamosky <br />and Carnahan. <br />Mr. Bill Bruton. Rew Drive, addressed Council pertaining to vandalis:a - particularly <br />cars riding on lsaita; judicial system; also discussed subject of purchasing an extra <br />phone from a source other than dhia Bell and the installation charge and service <br />charge made by Ohio Bell. <br />Mrs. Rita Limpert, Maple Ridge Rd., addressed Council pextaining to procedure of <br />Ohio Bell regarding extra phones. <br />Mr. John Fairfield, 5059 Devon Drive, addressed Council pextaining to Ohio Bell; <br />letter from Chamber pertaining to Ord. No. 75-25 and urged that legislation be <br />passed stating reasons therefor. <br />Mx. Louis Madxid, 5842 Barton Rd., addressed Council pertaining to type of fence <br />and height of same that is planned to be put up near soccer field; suggested <br />Council talk to soccer players regarding how high a ball does go, etc. President <br />Pro Tem Saringer requested Mr. Giessen to do so before a recision is made on the <br />fence. <br />Mr. Rolf Bohn, 5862 Barton Rd., addressed Council pertaining to the fence and <br />net to be erected near soccer field. <br />Mx. Schneider, Dover Center Rd., addressed Council and discussed soccer field in <br />Olmsted Falls and fence there. Presid~mt Pro Tem Saringer hopes Mr. Glasser will <br />take all comments into consideration at next cam~ni.ttee meeting. <br />Mr. Clifford Crabbs, Butteraut~- Ridge Rd., addressed Council pertaining to remodeling <br />work he had done and had three 20 yard truck loads hauled away and the going rate <br />is $80. a truck load plus a $20. dump fee. <br />
